Amazing product
Pretty Amazing. I took it slow when trying it out as suggested in the instructions. Honestly, this will make me a distance swimmer. What I loved: It doesn't let any water in the ends like a normal snorkel will. So as small waves and chop came over me, or even if my head dipped, no water comes in. There is no gurgling like a regular snorkel from water coming in, or your saliva... it's just straight air.I was even able to work on my deep stroke without worrying about it dipping in. With ends, even if you turn and one dips, it won't effect your oxygen intake. There was a very slight restriction to the breathing, like you needed to use your diaphragm to breath, actually suck in. I got used to this very quickly and as I was swimming I was thinking this is really good for my breath and getting in a rhythm. It is a little awkward, and it has a locked in feeling. It doesn't just slip off your mouth. I guess that's a good thing, but also just took getting used to as you need to pull it off your head to get it off.I love it and highly recommend it for anyone swimming distance or even diving. When diving, it was different in that you don't need to clear your snorkel with a breath, just come up and its ready for taking in air. Amazing tool.I must say, swimming takes on a whole new feel when you can really just look around while swimming, and not having to turn and take in air. Also to note... love the case it comes in very aero dynamic.I did not try it on flip turns in a pool, but it came with multiple end caps, one was specifically for flip turns.

Exceptional product, and customer service.
1. I bought this for open water snorkeling. It works as described - swim parallel to waves, no water inflitration. Swimming into the waves will cause water to come in if you breathe in when a wave crests over the top of the snorkle. I did a couple of sprints this way using American Crawl, got slightly winded, but I attribute that to enjoying the speed from not having to turn my head and just swimming.2. Works as described for a dive - breath in, hold breath, dive. Come up, break the surface & breathe. No problem. I did suck in water once; I didn't break the plane before inhaling.3. Breathing is easy & quiet if you are accustomed to snorkeling - breathe with diaphragm, nice and deep, control your breath. If you breathe in fast, you will not get good air, and if you breathe out fast it will bubble like an aquarium aerator. The design is well thought out for air intake and release.4. The fit around the head needs a bit more thought. I had a panoramic dive mask that didn't fit with the powerbreather (it was too wide & the buckles got squeezed against my head. I contacted customer service and they explained the fit, and sent pictures on how to wear. The Cressi Perla works well. Their customer service is impressive and they're genuinely interested in ensuring that you are able to use the powerbreather.5. Value for money is spot on. Considering the way it works, they ease of use and the fact that you can snorkle and open water swim is worth the money

One sexy beast, better for advanced swimmers
Bought a Zionor and Ameo Power breather at the same time. They are two different classes of snorkels. Zionor is a base prius, and Ameo is a fully loaded Tesla S model.Ameo Power Breather is a sexy beast. It looks cool, and it was a super product from instruction, packaging, and features. It even has an adapter for flip turns. After trying out once, I decided to return it. There are two reasons. 1. It was more difficult to breath through this. I am asthmatic and didn't want struggle with it. I do think this will get athletes in shape faster by providing this resistance. Just not for me. 2. This sexy beast has a few moving parts. As a novice swimmer, I am concerned about a part failure while swimming. When I become a better swimmer, I'd like to try this out again.Zionor is simple and easy to use basic snorkel that is positioned in front to assist with swimming laps. I have not tried the flip turns with this, but I didn't expect to use it for the turns. It is simple with not much too go wrong. I'd recommend a lock washer to make sure the headband stays intact. The bolt is screwed in to the plastic hole, and I'd expect this to wear out in time. [You don't want snorkel trouble in the open ocean. I had a malfunction happen with a full faced snorkel mask and thought that I'd drown.]

Simply amazing product. Snorkeling experience like no other.
I am not even sure where to begin.I just came back from my holidays. I was lucky to spend a week snorkeling off the coast of Turkey and another in Rhodes, one of the Greek islands...I was ready to head off with my old mask and snorkel tube as I had backed the latest Seaview 180 full face mask and there had been a delay in delivery. Thankfuly I came upon an ad for the Powerbreather... I took the plunge and ordered it. I got it exactly two days before leaving for the holidays...The first time I put it on, it felt weird. Breathing in wasn't very straightforward, I am assuming because of the two tubes. But you get used to it really fast, and that's when the product shines! I have snorkeled more than 4 hours a day during my trip and I could have just kept going if it wasn't for my wife getting bored watching from the shore! There is absolutely no comparison between my endurance when using a standard mask+snorkel and the powerbreather. I can't wait to use it in a swimming pool to do laps, which I should do later today actually...If I were to find one slight disadvantage (that didn't bother me much to be honest) is the noise of the bubbles when you breath out and the dolphin like, clicking sounds that come out from the tubes when you turn your head when swimming. The first time that happened I thought a dolphin was sneaking up on me! I was using the long tubes so not sure if that happens with the short ones as well, but it was really weird.Anyway, the powerbreather completely revolutionized the way I snorkel/swim and I was constantly approached by people who were curious to know what alien device I was using while they were using standard equipment...
