Great Little PC!! HAS M.2 2242 SLOT TOO!!
I bought this to remotely control my Telescope and Astrophotography Camera, Motorised Focuser, Guide Camera, etc. This PC has the Celeron J4125 which is a step up from their other PC's which have a J3455 CPU. It also has more RAM, as the others have 4GB. And it has the biggest eMMC hard drive at 120GB.You can see from the attached pictures that I have added an M.2 2242 nVME SSD (no, it's not SATA, it's PCIE nVME!). As I could see that other products from this manufacturer had M.2 slots, but this product doesn't list it, so I took it apart to check, and found it had the slot. I then looked for a suitable M.2 2242 SSD, and found the Sabrent Rocket Nano (pictured!), bought it, installed it, and it works fine! You'll see two speed test pictures, the slower one is the 120GB eMMC drive, which is actually quite fast compared to a traditional hard drive. The picture with the faster speeds is the Sabrent Rocket, which gives much faster times, which I will need for capturing the images from my telescope camera. To install the M.2 SSD, undo the screw restricting the lid release button. Flip the lid release button and remove the lid. Turn the case over and peel off the rubber feet. Put a small crosshead scredriver into the holes where the feet were, and remove the 4 screws. Turn the case back over and remove the gold surround. Undo the 4 screws retaining the circuit board. Turn the case over and allow the circuit board to fall into your hand, being very careful as there are wires connected to other parts in the case and need to be left attached. Lay the circuit board down with the case standing up, as per my pictures. Remove the M'2 screw, insert the SSD, insert the screw. Then reverse the procedure to put it back together.I can't say if the M.2 works as a boot device as I really don't think it needs to be set up that way, as the eMMC 120GB is best left with the OS on it, and use the M.2 SSD for data, and if you have big programs to install.

Computer geek’s gadget
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I create content for YouTube, instagram etc ... I decided I needed a second computer to run along side my main computer so that it can do a lot of the ‘donkey work’ for video editing. When the new mini pc computer arrived this week I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘compactness’ of it. I had hoped by using a compact mini pc that it would make a big difference on the space needed for it on my desk. I am really pleased with the space aspect alone. I am also pleased with the ease of the set up and the fact I have been able to use it to connect my blue tooth keyboard to it. The computer seems to be speedy and efficient for doing every day jobs as well as running my video software. I am also very happy at the quietness of the computer, it makes for a good working environment. Although in the photo and video I am using a wired mouse and I have my keyboard plugged in charging I have since connected a blue tooth mouse. I am very happy with my purchase.

Works well as a Plex transcoder!
I wanted to do a review on this as there weren't many and I appreciated the ones that were there. I bought this to use as a Plex server and so far so good. For anyone wondering, hardware transcoding works well with this CPU which has Intel Quick Sync built in. Just tried out a 4k movie and had the phone request a 1080p stream. Hardware transcoding worked flawlessly. Used between 10 and 30% of the CPU while doing this. There would be room for at least another 4k stream and probably a couple of 1080p to 720p at the same time.Very happy so far and will come back and update of anything changes.Update: Working really well since. When downloading large files the fan will come on. The fan is a little loud and seems to run in bursts rather than continuously which is a little irritating and very noticeable going from silent to loud every 10 seconds or so. Have also come across this issue when watching a really large 4k file (60GB plus) but the sound of the movie drowns our most of it. Overall I am still very happy with this item and would recommend it to friends looking for a cheap Plex server set up.

lasted less than 3 months
got this mini pc end of march. my first impression was good. it was small quiet and pretty fast.then i discovered that usb ports must share the same chip or something cause as soon as you add a flash drive or hdd ect to another usb port the mouse starts glitching like all the ports are bottle necking at the source (really annoying) but once you remove it mouse is fine again. i assumed this is a downside to fitting everything in such a little unit so learned to just put up with it.then about a month later started having a few problems where id have to turn it off and on again to stop freezing ect. ( somewhat like some cheap mobile phones do.they last a few weeks then start playing up) again annoying but thought like cheap phones this is the downside to this.but this morning (only june) nothing . well i say nothing, the light flashes on then off again then nothing.im pretty god with electronics , gadgets ect and tried everything but just wont work. i just went to see if i can return it but must be past the time because there is no option to do so.I know its quite cheap for a pc but this simply isnt good enough im only on a career allowance so cant just buy another one. so im now typing this on my old windows 7 tower that i got back out of the attic.
