Good tablet, but not as Kid Friendly as I thought
I am only giving it 3 stars for a couple of reasons, first of all, I was looking for a tablet suitable for a child, the iRULU BabyPad is described as a kid's tablet, so I assumed it would have apps pre-loaded that were kid friendly. One of the apps that is pre-loaded is YouTube, but it was the regular version where a child could get on to adult content, I had to remove this app and load the Kid friendly version of YouTube. Another issue is that a game freezes up and will not let me remove it. The tablet is unsuable while the game is loaded. Third, I was under the impression as this is a kid's tablet, that the case would be more protective, but it is only a silicon type sleeve (which covers too much of the screen), offering no protection. Now to the positive, the tablet is a good size for small hands, the screen is well laid out, and it is easy to use for a 4 year old. The camera in front and back is a hit with him. He is satisfied with his tablet and the games that were pre-loaded. I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to open the box the tablet comes in (not the shipping carton). I had to open it to charge it for 10 hours before I was able to wrap it for his birthday gift. I knew he would want to turn it on as soon as he opened it and he did! Glad I charged it it up for him. Let me add, I have a 7 inch tablet for myself that is a different brand and I like the iRULU better than mine. If they were more careful about the pre-loaded apps to make sure they are kid friendly, I would give it 5 stars.

Highly recomended kids tablet
You really cant beat the quality for the price with this tablet. My only really complaint is not so much with THIS tablet but with these types of tablets in general. I simply wish that they came with more memory. Manufactures could very simply multiply the amount of memory in these devices by many times with essentially no additional cost to themselves. Oh well, the amount of memory provided in this device is adequate for most users and can be increased if so desired. My niece loves this thing. At four years old she was able to figure out the children's interface in a matter of minutes and has needed very little instruction for it's operation. The children's interface is the best that I personally have used on a kids tablet. Its simple and pleasant to use. The parental controls are also very simple and fast to set and adjust. There is some great stuff in the provided content and of course you can add anything from the Google play store. It is truly amazing the word recognition and increase in vocabulary that my niece has demonstrated after only a short time of use. The protective rubber case is also built around the device and is not a cheap slip on.

Awesome tablet for the price
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 3 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it! She plays with it everyday and I must say it's extremely durable. It has been tossed around a few times and my 1 year old has even gotten a hold of it without causing any damage. The case fits perfectly and leaves plenty of room for you to charge the device without taking it off. It has great screen quality and brightness. It's perfect for little fingers and very easy to set up. I love the fact that it has parent mode as well as child mode so you can monitor what content your child sees as well as how long they play. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because my 3 year old discovered that once her time is up, all she has to do is turn the device off and then back on to continue playing. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a time limit. As long as your child doesn't know how to turn the device on/off, this shouldn't be a problem for you. Overall though, for the price, this is a great tablet for little beginners to start with.

Not are all satisfied with product after 8 months of use!
I'm truly not satisfied with this product. I don't like the old, slowness of the OS. And I hate that it's not as 'kid friendly' as it says. If that was the case you would think they'd have a way to parental lock apps on the screen and it doesn't. It would also help if it to had an automatic way it could block advertisements and they are EVERYWHERE! It's truly frustrating and distracting because then they'd just want to click those instead of the educational stuff you have displayed, and the minute they do it opens chrome straight away. The whole time I'm constantly having to close chrome until I finally get fed up and put it away out of frustration! This is way too much distress for a piece of technology I payed $60 for! I doubt I'd be able to send it back for a refund after all of this time, and if I can't I'm off to selling it and buying a Kindle Fire for my boy...

You get what you pay for, it's true.
I was so excited to find a kids' tablet at such a great price, but I guess you get what you pay for.First and foremost, the screen on this tablet is all sorts of messed up. There is an air bubble that I thought was just under the included screen protector- except when I removed the screen protector, the bubble remained. In addition, the entire screen is offset to the left about an eighth of an inch; you can see a strip of crystals along that edge. So when the table is held portrait-wise with that end up, the top taskbar (that shows the time and battery life) is cut right in half, and any touch control is off by just as much. Granted, that's not the biggest deal, but it's still exemplary of shoddy workmanship. The included silicone case has been stretched out of shape, so it bubbles up around the screen and is generally annoying. Sure, a case is easy enough to replace, but part of the reason I chose to purchase this table in particular was because the case was included. Ergo, waste of money. Also, there is no software pre-downloaded onto this tablet beyond a kid-friendly start screen- so no games, no apps, no nothing. That's not inherently clear in the product description. You have to download everything yourself by putting the Play Store into one of the categories available to your child, and then removing it when you're done. It's a little counter-intuitve from a parental control standpoint.I will be returning this tablet, and replacing it with a better-known brand that is yet to be determined.

Children's 7 inch tablet
My grandson loves his iRULU tablet ok so the sound is not great but it still fits the bill. I bought as a replacement for one that he had so it was a like for like purchase as he was heartbroken when his met with an unfortunate accident. He loved it so much! I could have bought him a much more fancier one but the tablet for his age group and the fact they do meet with accidents makes the iRULU tablet a good little product. As a first tablet I think they are a great buy for kids and a great price.Great product for 3-5 year olds. Connects to wifi, easy to set up and lots of apps that can be downloaded. Very educational and will while away many hours it keeps my grandson entertained.

looks good but doesn't have much else going for it unfortunately
Bought this as a relacement to my girls broken iPad. We already have a fire kindle, so i was prepared for a comparison review. Basically the screen went green when playing BBC iPlayer & streaming anything took ages whilst our other 2 tablets were streaming fine. Its a shame as it looks so cute & funky but its not worth the money, much better to buy the entry level kindle. I have since returned it for a refund.

Great device for kids.
Perfect for my 3 year old! When I think of what I had when I was 3 it was definitely not something like this!! You can set it up for younger kids or for the older ones with good parental lock. I would recommend to anyone with a child!

Ok...
Good for the price just disappointing that you can't expand the storage as it won't save anything to the memory card...
