This was challenging
I absolutely love this mind game puzzle! It’s both challenging and engaging, keeping me entertained for hours. The design is clever, with intricate pieces that fit together perfectly, and the quality is outstanding. Each level of the puzzle offers a unique challenge, making it fun to solve progressively. I’ve found it to be a great way to unwind and exercise my brain at the same time. It’s perfect for both solo play and group challenges. If you enjoy puzzles that make you think outside the box, I highly recommend this one! It’s a fantastic addition to my collection.

No Regrets
This puzzle toy is a challenge but in reverse. Yes, it takes a while to solve but it takes EONS to reassemble and for that I would grade it at a level 6 difficulty. But we survived and so will you. It is very well made and sturdy. Definitely of good quality. The directions were intentionally vague. We are already looking into purchasing our next one. This would make a great gift to either make or break someone's confidence.

Engaging, Even After the Solve.
The puzzle is amazing, both in craft and in playability. The puzzle's solution was well enough to figure out, and it kept me engaged to solve it for quite some time. Even after I had memorized how to solve it, I have been playing with it to keep my hands busy and engaged as I would wait, or think, or watch. The puzzle is very sturdy in craft. As per the company's clarification, the puzzle is made from a zinc-metal alloy. It's weighty as well, which in my opinion, gives it more value in the importance and mystery of the puzzle. Hanayama has a plethora of amazing puzzles to choose from. This puzzle is a testament to Hanayama's amazing quality and design. If you wish to buy a puzzle from Hanayama, I would say this is a specific puzzle to invest into.

Another great looking and fun puzzle from Hanayama
The Cylinder puzzle from Hanayama keeps up with the high quality and aesthetics of other Hanayama puzzles. I won't give away any specific details about the solution, but I will say that it is quite possible to stumble upon the disassembly accidentally or by trial and error, without really understanding the mechanism behind it. That's probably why the puzzle is rated at a difficulty of 4 out of 6, and mainly why my review is rated 4 out of 5. That said, it's one of the better looking of all the Hanayama puzzles in my opinion, and invites people to pick it up and start messing with it. Even after disassembling, it still has some value in figuring out precisely how it works and learning how to work it reliably without any guesswork. I would recommend this puzzle if you're interested in puzzles with unseen mechanisms that have a reasonable difficulty, yet are much more accessible than the hardest puzzles in the Hanayama lineup.

Perfect gift for grandpa
Gifted my father this who doesn’t like or want anything and loves building making things. He used it immediately and silently played with it. For perfectly in your hand easy to bring and perfect for grown ups and teens. Good material that doesn’t break quick.

One of the best Hanayamas
I have a small collection of Hanayama puzzles, and this one is probably my favorite. It looks nice sitting on your desk and it's fun to move and solve. Some Hanayama puzzles are satisfying to move but too easy to solve (like Marble), others I found pretty difficult to solve, but once you know how it's not interesting to do again (News). This one strikes a good balance of nice movement and a fun solve. If you're looking for other puzzles like this one, I think Padlock and Coil are good choices.

Great puzzle, ideal for beginners
This is a fantastic puzzle with typical high quality from Hanayama. A brilliant locking mechanism which is just as hard to put back together as take apart. This die-cast puzzle is of great quality and durability, as are most Hanayama products. The dials spun easily, and the locks clicked well. Like most Hanayama puzzles, the design is simple and elegant, suitable for display. It is very shiny, which is a nice contrast to other cast puzzles, like Hanayama's Cake, Key, or Delta puzzles. This puzzle should take a beginner 20-30 minutes to solve. Putting it back together could take an additional 10-20 minutes, so this is a great gift for a novice puzzler.

Simple, yet always a tease
At first I thought I would never solve this one, until I figured out it's just like any combination Master lock. When I opened the box I could feel it was a solid puzzle. Again Hanayama made a solid, die cast puzzle. This one took me about four hours to solve once I figured out how to approach it. Even after solving it, I still need to take my time to solve it again. Unlike the Padlock, Donuts, or even the Dial, you cannot see where the line up is. It's all trial and error. This is a great introductory puzzle from Hanayama. I would recommend this as one of the first puzzles you purchase.

I love these type of puzzles. I own several Hanayama Puzzles, and they have never been disappointing. Always High Quality, Beautifully Designed, Wonderfully Polished, and Hyperbolically reviewed. I can't wait to order another one...

This is a beautifully constructed puzzle, it's solid metal with a decent weight to it. Even if you can't solve it, the spinning pieces feel good to manipulate. As for the challenge, it's quite tough given you cannot ever physically see how the puzzle is being solved. There's a lot of feel work involved as you rotate it around like you would cracking into a safe. Definitely challenging putting it back together as well, as the solution can come quite rapidly, leaving you a bit stumped over the correct order. Great puzzle. Looking forward to checking out more!
