A very excellent and just right power but not lots very versatile ,Perfect for my compact car ( Kia Forte) plug it in cigarette lighter and it will even reach all the way to the trunk with room left over !! Will vaccum every spot inside car. Has good suction. However it is NOT POWERFUL but will suck up anything you put in its path., I wished i would have owned this years ago. Comes with assortment of nice attachments also !! Dont wait around theres not to many good ones out there to pick from, and the price is just right too !! Feels like its of good quality.

I got this for a small off-grid cabin that runs on 12VDC. Since the cabin has its own battery and can have pretty extreme climate conditions, I didn't want the added expense and inevitable failure of a built-in battery.The overall design of this is very good - it's super compact, easily adjustable, decent cord length, decent accessories, the built-in brush is handy, it's light-weight, and I appreciate the washable filter.It does, however, also have a replaceable filter. These aren't too expensive but it is a little annoying to need one. On the other hand, I'm not sure what the alternative would be that such a low-power motor could work with, so, I wouldn't dock a star for that.In my usage, it consumed somewhere around 50W. This is honestly a little disappointing because many 12V outlets can handle double that. At this power, the suction was good enough to do what I needed but *barely*. As others pointed out, the charge state of your battery does make a noticeable impact.I understand B&D were trying to design this to not blow fuses, but it would've been nice to have 5A, 7.5A, and 10A speed settings. Perhaps a higher amperage motor can be swapped out, though for now, I'll keep it since it does work as advertised.

This is my third Car Vac, and I have to say, I think we got a winner! It has everything I wanted, and needed in an automotive vacuum cleaner, and more.Other than to initially test its usage, I've never really had to use the hose adjustment. I find that I can accomplish all my vacuuming needs solely via the pivoting nose, which extends and retracts, and also folds all the way in for compact storage. It also has a handy brush you can flip on.The power cord is also long enough for me to reach everywhere in my sedan, including the trunk and frunk and the sucking power of the Vac has been plenty sufficient for my needs.Another must-have feature for me was a washable filter - i didn't want to have to deal with replacing filter bags often - and this Vac delivers on that front.I've just had it for a month though - will update on how it holds up over time later.Fyi - In case anyone is wondering - it does not have an internal battery (you cannot charge it and use it unplugged from a power source). It needs to be constantly powered by the cigarette lighter in the car. In the event that you might need to use it in a house or somewhere with only a 110v outlet - grab an Ac to DC Adapter.Keep in mind though, that while it's plenty sufficient for Automotive cleaning, it's really not a powerful enough vacuum for heavy duty vacuuming inside the house.As stated in the title, my only qualm was the mesh bag that was provided with this unit - it was all but useless to me. I prefer more solid storage bags for my small appliances, so I ordered a trunk organizer that actually fits perfectly for the Vacuum, along with its attachments (see pictures attached).

I use this to clean out my car. I used to use a shop vac, but got tired from dragging such a huge item around. This is lightweight and easy to use. It has very good suction for such a small item. Easy to dispose of trash you gather. The brush is really good for cleaning the seats. The only downfall is I wished there was a smaller tool to use between seats.

Works, but doesn't pick up small stuff. Not as powerful as I thought it would be. Overall it's ok.

Good vacuum cleaner for car. Suction is not at superior level however I think this is car battery limitation, not this particular device.With this device you can expect to cleanup about 80-95% of all the dirt in the car. Car won't be looking like it was detailed or like new. But overall the car will be clean. You have to go over the surface few times to remove more dirt. What will remain is occational dirt like dry leaves particles, stuck in cloth material, dirt under the seat or other hard reaching places, etc. It took about 30 minutes for me to cleanup Honda civic. Cable length is enough to cleanup trunk.I didn't find useful the hose and the brush for it. Suction reduces when you use those. However vacuum cleaner nose is pretty smart and sufficient for all the cleaning. You can adjust the length and angle, this is enough for all you can do with this VC.Strong suction is the most insufficient feature.

I've always wanted a plug-in car vac and this one seemed good on paper. The Black and Decker does not disappoint. It is way more powerful than most battery powered hand-vacs. The attachments are useful, perfect for a car-vac. It's pretty easy to empty the debris after use, and the front nozzle folds up nicely for storage. Just be aware that when using this vacuum, you'd better keep the engine running. The powerful vacuum is pretty power hungry.

Broke after 2 months
