Great traction when you need it and do not fall off
I have used this type of ice cleat for a long time during the slippery winter months. Recently the brand I had wore out, so I found these as a replacement. They are an improved version of what I had been using, and I really like the difference. To start with, the front of each ice cleat covers the front of the shoe I am wearing better than the old ones. This is important because my old ones would occasionally do this. The material is a bit tougher than my originals and has more “webbing” which keeps them tight. This also makes them a bit harder to place on a shoe, but well worth the grip. The cleats come with spare “points” (the blue circles with pins that provide the grip), something my other set did not. So, this set should provide a good deal of service life.If you have never used ice cleats before, a few tips on how they work. When standing on snow (or ice) you get a super grip. However, if you wear them indoors, on something like ceramic tile or a smooth surface you will slide. So, I recommend swapping out your footwear before you come indoors or removing the grips.

No need to ever slip and slide again on ice
I found that these were very easy to slip onto the bottom of my sneakers and boots. I’ve used them three times so far and you’d never know I have them on my feet. I wiped them with a warm rag when I come in so that the salt doesn’t eat away at the rubber and I am particularly impressed that the company gives you extra studs in the event a few of them break. This is the first year that I was confident in walking on ice while walking my dog after two knee replacements and a bad ankle. The last thing I need is a fall and I’m going to buy a second pair just to have for next year to go with the new boots that I also bought. I would highly recommend these to anyone who’s afraid of slipping on ice no pulling no squirming. Just put the front over the front of your sneaker or boot pull and put the back over the back of your sneaker or boot and they are secure. I highly recommend purchasing these!

Good product.
Great even in water on top of ice. I can stride confidently and get done what I need to do outdoors in Alaska in all icy situations I’ve encountered.Has not accidentally come off while trekking in deep snow. These are slightly more taxing to put on than other styles but would prefer that over them coming off unintentionally. They are easy to remove when needed.I like that the spikes are not massive and are still easy to walk in on hard surfaces like concrete or wooden steps.I like that replacement spikes are included although in over a decade with this brand (2 separate pairs) have not had to replace any.Only reason for removing a star is because in my semi truck I can not drive and wear these. I have to remove them before taking off. I jump in and out often so taking them off and on every time is not ideal. There aren't many styles that are comfortable to wear while I drive my big rig so while this is a minor annoyance, it would not prevent me from purchasing again. I have succeeded to wear this brand in a different style meant for regular shoes instead of boots.

Reliable grip on ice
This is the 3rd set of these that we’ve owned over 10+ years. They last a long time, actually have only had one break in the 6 pairs we’ve had. Great traction on rough or smooth ice, providing very secure footing. Fairly easy to put on, but you do have to stretch it over your shoe or boot. It can be a challenge to put them on if you have trouble bending or dexterity issues. But, I am 65 and have Reynard syndrome hands, along with arthritis and can still manage them. You can buy replacement cleat inserts as thes have come out on rare occasions (usually when the cleats are older and only on rough terrain). But, I’ve found it cheaper just to replace the whole pair. Overall, these are the best ice cleats for walking or running that we’ve found. We use them regularly in northern Canada winters, and would buy them again.

Great on ice!
These are great when it's icy. They fit my boots perfectly. My mother also loves these.

Best Buy ever
With the recent winter weather and snow storms, I decided to buy a pair after seeing someone else use these. These will save a hip! I have walked up hills in the snow and frozen snow and get great traction. Would recommend for anyone, especially elders who need to walk in adverse weather. A little hard to put on as they are snug, but they stay in place. Easy to remove. The small/medium size is perfect for 6.5-7 size women’s shoes. Functions better than I thought. Seriously one of the Best Buy’s ever.

Very bad design - get YakTrax SnowTrax instead
This turned out to be a very bad design. The toe area is not bad, but the heel is almost impossible to get on and off any larger shoe size. You can even see from the photos that the heel band sits flush against the back of the shoe. This will happily pinch your fingers as you put it on, and provides no way to get a solid hold to pull it off, which you must do before entering any indoor area, or the carbide spikes will scratch up even bare concrete floors, and destroy wood or vinyl or anything similar. Hard to remove even with bare hands, impossible with gloves on.I would strongly recommend you skip these and take a look at YakTrax SnowTrax, the ones with the same carbide spike design. Not the regular ones with what look like springs wrapped around the rubber bands. Those are great on snow but for hard ice they are basically useless. The SnowTrax has rubber loops that stay sticking out on the heel so that you can quickly and easily get your fingers through them and remove the cleats with very little difficulty, maybe even with gloves on. And they seem to be easier to stretch onto larger shoes without so much effort. I tried to stretch these Due North G3 cleats with some reversed shop clamps, but even after stretching a pair so far that one split at the toe after leaving them overnight, it seemed to make no difference in how hard they were to stretch. Avoid.
