Alter Ego: Methode De Francais (French Edition) Paperback – Student Edition, January 24, 2007

I was happy that the cd was still inside the clear slip at the back and that there were no markings that I could find inside.

This textbook works well in the hands of a full immersion class with a native speaker. However, the stories in there, taken from the media, are outdated and to me , it is a boring aspect of this series of textbooks that could be revised more often. This latest edition is from around 2012/2013. This is seven years later, and the issues of the world have changed. The language, maybe not so much.

This book is "must have" for those who study French and it fits with all my student requirements. What about the quality of this book, unfortunately, it is worse than I have expected and moreover , there aren't a few pages ( from 171 to 190). Also there is no the disk.

This is an OK textbook, but the explanations are not always clear, and the speakers on the CD's do not enunciate clearly enough for second language learners.

A mio avviso, Alter Ego della Hachette è il miglior corso di francese per adulti attualmente in circolazione.Non per autodidatti, se si parte da principiante. Ma utilizzato in lezioni frontali, è ottimo: godibile, ricchissimo di materiali interessanti che stimolano la curiosità dell'adulto (pubblico ben diverso dai ragazzi delle scuole), ben strutturato.Ha pochi schemi grammaticali, sì, ma un insegnante può tranquillamente integrarli con le proprie spiegazioni o con schemi ulteriori: lo scopo di Alter Ego è di puntare da subito sulla comunicazione, e direi che lo raggiunge pienamente.

It's got variety of interesting articles with activities as well as listening parts (for which cd is provided). If you find listening part challening you can just read the dialogues from the back of the book; can find well explained grammar with vocabulary

Il dvd aiuta a sentire migliorare la pronuncia anche se chi parla ma un po' troppo veloce. Peccato che non ci sono molti esercizi di fonetica

Un bon llibre per l'aprenentatge de la llengua francesa. Interessant, ben explicat i amb força exercicis per a practicar. Molt recomanable!
