This installment focuses on Logan, Garrett’s best friend and fellow hockey player, and Grace, a quiet but strong-willed freshman, as they navigate second chances and personal growth. John Logan – Logan is charming, funny, and a ladies' man, but beneath his confident exterior, he struggles with deep-seated family issues and a sense of being trapped by his circumstances. His development throughout the book makes him more than just the stereotypical player. Grace Ivers – A freshman who starts off shy but proves to be independent and assertive. She isn’t easily won over, and her ability to stand her ground makes her a refreshing and likable heroine. Familiar faces from The Deal, including Garrett and Hannah, return, while new side characters add to the college setting’s energy and humor. Kennedy’s writing is engaging, with a mix of humor, emotional moments, and steamy romance. The alternating perspectives between Logan and Grace allow for a well-rounded view of their relationship and personal struggles. The book delivers plenty of humor and flirty banter while also tackling deeper themes of family responsibility, self-worth, and making tough life choices. The chemistry between Logan and Grace is strong, and their romance is a blend of fun, tension, and genuine emotional connection. Strengths ✔ Strong Character Growth – Both Logan and Grace undergo realistic, satisfying development. ✔ Second-Chance Romance Done Right – Logan’s journey to making up for his mistake feels earned, and Grace doesn’t immediately forgive him, which adds authenticity. ✔ Engaging Writing & Humor – The witty dialogue and college setting keep the story entertaining. ✔ Balanced Romance & Personal Struggles – The love story is front and center, but each character also has their own challenges to overcome. The Mistake is a fun, emotional, and steamy addition to the Off-Campus series. While it follows a familiar formula, the engaging characters and well-paced romance make it a standout. Fans of The Deal and other college sports romances like The Chase by Elle Kennedy or The Score (book 3 in the series) will love this one. Review: Loved Logan and Grace - 4-4.5 stars. I was excited to read Logan's story because he was such a fun character in The Deal, being Garrett's best friend and fellow college hockey player. The way he crushed on Hannah told me that he was going to fall for a girl with similar qualities like Hannah and I adored Hannah. Logan is a definite manwhore, but underneath, he graves genuine affection and a connection with someone. Grace is a college freshman who isn't afraid to be herself even though she has a tendency to ramble, but she makes no apologies for loving football and action movies. She's a sweet girl with very likable qualities, she's also very non-judgmental and open to new things. Grace has a crush on Logan but doesn't believe that he could ever notice her knowing his reputation. Their paths cross serendipitously and although their first encounters are not the norm for a budding friendship, they forge a semi-friendship as Logan tries to sort through all the issues in his head and relies on Grace to keep his mind off of the really bothersome stuff. Logan makes a big blunder and Grace detaches from him, leaving him behind for several months to mull over his mistake. The new Grace who returns to Briar won't put up with anyone's crap and if Logan wants to be her friend or more, she's going to make him work to earn it. I still love The Deal more than The Mistake and up until Grace returned to Briar for sophomore year, the story was moving at a decent pace but I wasn't feeling the intensity of the chemistry between Logan and Grace like I did with Garrett and Hannah. However, once Logan declares his intentions, the story really ramps up. There's still a lot of humor and laugh out loud moments (so glad that Dean is getting a book next, he's a riot), but the best part was seeing Logan go after someone he wanted without being deterred along the way and how he made sacrifices for his family. Another entertaining sports-themed NA read.

What can I say other than I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS BOOK! Grace and Logan are such sweethearts and literally perfect for each other. She came into his life when he needed her the most, helped him heal and together they created a beautiful love story. I must admit Garret and Hannah and Allie and Dean (Yep, I’m writing this review after I read The Score) kept me more on my toes but Grace and Logan are my precious babies that I keep tucked away in a special place in my heart and keep them protected at all costs. The whole Off-Campus Series is frick*n perfect!

✨Review The Mistake (Off-Campus, #2) by Elle Kennedy✨ • “𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪.” 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮-𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙙. “𝙎𝙤 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩.” • I am continuing on with the Off-Campus series and I definitely enjoyed this book! But not as much as the first one. It was a very sweet and cute college romance book but I was having trouble connecting with the characters for the first half of the book. But it did pick up for me and eventually I did swoon and fall for both Logan and Grace. They were great for each other and I loved their banter I especially love the list of 6 items 🤣 I can’t wait to read book three and find out more about Dean! 🤤 • Grace Ivers is a freshman at Briar and a virgin. She wants to experience all that college has to offer and in doing so her best Friend drags her out to almost every party, there she meets John Logan sexy as sin hockey star who is also a bit of man whore.. but this doesn’t stop Grace from wanting what she wants. She’s one of many who want John Logan. But she is also different from all the other women Logan hooks up with, she is smart, confident, and honest and she may be just what John Logan needs. But after a mistake leads grace to leave for 3 months she’s back, and Logan isn’t going to lose her this time. • John Logan was definitely sexy and I once again loved reading about all the hockey, but there was also much more to the story then hockey. I really enjoyed reading about Johns life and all he was sacrificing, he was a very admirable character and I loved his confidence. After a mistake with the one girl who makes John feel more he’s bound to get her back, and that means he will do absolutely anything necessary, because Grace just might be his forever girl. • 4⭐️

absolutely adore everything about this series, the story, the characters, the laugh out loud humour, the emotion, Kennedy manages to intertwine it all so masterfully that it keeps me hanging on every single page and desperately wanting for more. I thought I had loved Garrett and Hannah, but that was nothing compared to how much I fell for both Logan and Grace. Their relationship was perfect, there was so much emotion, passion, humour, angst, friendship and love that it completely consumed me. Logan was totally flawed but he had a huge heart and loved deeply, not to mention an unshakable determination when it came to winning Grace's heart. I loved the fact that Grace wasn't a push over, she managed to stand up for herself and retain her dignity but wasn't bitchy or annoying like so many other heroines now days. She was an incredibly sweet character and was quick to forgive. I particularly enjoyed her penchant for babbling and her honesty. I must admit initially I was a little worried where the story would go when it began with Logan mooning over Hannah because frankly, those type of story lines usually piss me off no end Thankfully, Logan's "feelings" are resolved and understood quickly so it doesn't cause the reader any prolonged or undue angst, phew! Logan and Grace seemed like complete opposites but they were perfect for each other. They definitely endured their fair share of heartache, obstacles and mishaps along the way but the end was worth it all. This series just keeps getting better and with every book I fall a little more in love with ALL the characters involved. I am already salivating over Dean’s book next…… I cannot wait! If you haven't yet experienced the awesomeness that is the Off Campus Series I would recommend doing so immediately you will not be disappointed..... highly addicted.... but not disappointed!
