The rack has a heavy, stable, construct and is pretty easy to put together. With a little common sense and a phillips head screwdriver you can have this thing up in no time at all. Though some would travel closer to the side of caution, I, the swlf-proclaimed adventurer, did not bother to read the instructions and had it up and assembled in about 10 min. All-in-all I feel that this rack is definitely worth buying.UPDATE: 6/4/20The rack has seen regular use with no less than three jackets on it at a time, and has now been disassembled and reassembled after a move. It is STILL seeing regular use and is standing as strong as the day I bought it. Quality purchase.

The body is coated with a rough sand like material which is actually good! Its perfectly balanced. Has many hooks well placed and thus items can be hung without looking ugly or cramped. As stated to test put 3 heavy overcoats but did not tip. That alone worth 5 stars. Very easy to assemble. Takes 10 min max.

It's been a few days and no complaints yet. This was purchased for the front office of a Engineering firm. I have about 5 employees who use this daily for their heavy winter coats, briefcases purses etc. Has not tipped over yet. Assembly was a bit tricky, definitely keep all items wrapped in their packaging before reading the directions.I DID NOT! But it was basic common sense of what part went where.

Bought this to replace some flimsy little wooden coat rack I had previously that broke when I placed a particularly heavy coat on it. This has yet to break even with some heavier coats on it but I guess I will not truly know if it stands the test of time until it has a wet winter coat on it. For right now it is supporting several spring jackets, a hoodie and multiple umbrellas just fine.I do want to mention that the little knob on the top is not particularly well secured. You just have to kind of jam it on top. I had to use a rubber mallet to get mine on. It is not really an issue. I would recommend.

I love this stand. We did have to anchor it down because we were afraid it would get a little top-heavy and fall over as we are using it in the front entry of our hit salon. The design matches our other tables and things and is very elegant. Other than I would have liked it to be a little more solid at the bottom, I am pleased.

Before purchasing this rack, I read many reviews on other manufacturers and designs. I can say with certainty that my 12 year old son had NO PROBLEM putting this rack together. The screws and holes lined up perfectly and was sturdy the first go-around. The umbrella stand is already built and also sturdy. The top design on this rack is great and unlike other models, this one has eight actual pegs for hanging, which was also very important to me. So if you are looking for a easy, sturdy, great looking rack that can hang countless coats, hats, purses, etc., this is the rack for you (and for me)!

I like it, functions well. My mom likes it and wants one too. It looks really good by my front door and is also the perfect height for me to reach up towards even for someone as short as I am at 5'1. Glad I have a place now to hang coats and umbrellas on rainy days instead of walking all the way to the hall to the coat closet. :) I prefer a dark bronze instead of black but I can live with the color since it only comes in black. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Very durable, super easy to put together and it fits nicely in the spot where I wanted it. Great value for the money! Not chinsy material at all. You will be pleased with this if you are looking for one.
