Nice reference book. but possibly some inaccurate information
It's a nice reference book. I like the maps also. Since I prefer to actually hold a paper book when I read and put tabs on pages to mark them, etc this works well for me. However, if a paper book doesn't matter to the reader then this information can be found on the internet. I found an issue with accuracy of a park I visit about 3 times a week. I only mention this one park because I have travelled every inch of it so I can comment on it due to a wealth of experience. I would be disappointed if I traveled a distance to visit "my" park. The park is awesome for what it is. But it's not as awesome as described in the book. I won't comment on any descriptions of any other park because I simply have not visited them as much.

Gentle hiker
I bought this book thinking it would include hikes from the previous book, which it did not. So I ended up buying the previous book also, bc the hikes were more what I wanted, but both books are very good. They are very clear on where the trails are, how crowded and strenuous they are, the type of surface. I found both books to be very good.

Good book for a Clevelander
I had no idea we have so many parks and trails around here! The author did a good job, could be that a 'downtown hike' is a little much, but then, why not think outside the box? Imaginative, and the hikes so far are beautiful and fun, and it's January/February time, what will they be like in summer and fall??? Can't wait to explore more.

Good for senior hikers as well as young folks
I like this book because it gives information about the level of difficulty of hikes as well as the distance. Also gives a map of the course in case old folds like me get lost!

She Missed One?
This reference book is first-rate. It's well written and thorough (except I believe the author may have missed the Spring Hollow Trail (3.2 miles) in Hampton Hills at the southern end of the CVNP). The 294-page work (second edition) includes comprehensive descriptions, easily decipherable maps and discernible directions. From a reader who uses these trails, Bravo!
