RothcoMen's Double Strap Duffle Bag

I purchased this bag specifically for hauling laundry the 3 blocks I have to walk to the Laundromat. I wanted something that would lessen the load being able to have shoulder straps and wearing it on my back. This bag is perfect. First off it is made from a very Heavy Guage Canvas Material,( it feels like canvass to me). The first thing I noticed was the weight of the product while in the package. I weighed it and it came in at about 6 pounds by itself. The shoulder straps are plenty comfortable and can be adjusted. There are a few different handles to grip the bag and the small pocket works well for change for the machines. I wasnt quite sure about what size to get so I went with this size. It is HUGE. I mean I could fit about 3-4 loads of laundry in it no problem. But I figure better too big than not big enough so its fine, the top just folds over. One thing that is weird about it that I will mention is the bags closure design. Im not military and Id like to think Im intelligent enough but the way it works is odd to me. There is a clip on one side that has to be woven through these 4 large eyelets to get to the clip on the opposite side. Not a huge deal but just to warn. So I give this bag an A+ for my needs and love it.

I needed a gym bag in a backpack style. This is what I got and I'm pretty happy with it. I can fit shoes, headgear, gloves, a change of clothes, and still have lots of room. It's looking pretty sturdy. No complaints about it's design or construction. I like the way the top closes, allowing you to use a small travel lock to secure its contents.If anything, the only non-practical aspect of a duffle-style bag is that it can be hard to find specific items when they're all just jumbled in one big sack. Next time, I'd go for something with more pockets (This only has one little one big enough to hold a wallet) and with a long zipper to open the whole thing up at once. As it is, especially for the price, this is a good basic deal. And I'd recommend it.

I ordered one of these bags around May 2011 for my son to use at a weeklong scout camp. He was able to pack everything he needed FOR A WEEK in this bag, and the one thing he couldn't (a spare pair of shoes) he was able to hook to the bag. He used the bag a second time for a weeklong school camp out. It held up so nicely and worked so well I have since purchased one for my husband and one for my younger son to use when they're camping. For a recent campout my husband was able to fit all of his personal gear in one bag and all of the tent gear (including sleeping bags, sleeping pads, mess kits, cold weather gear, etc) in one bag and so instead of making multiple trips to the car at the campsite they have three duffles and they're done.The adjustable straps make it easy for just about anyone to carry and the bag has plenty of storage. We have both the black version and two green versions and they have held up equally well in hot, cold and rainy weather. VERY pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this as a gift for my Grandson who joined the Navy. The bag is built extremely well. I would not be surprised if it lasted him his Navy career and then the rest of his life. If I need another duffle bag, I will purchase it from this company, but get it in the OD Green color (Retired Army here).. LOL... Navy is OK here. This Duffel Bag is better than some duffel bags I actually used; they did not survive.

This canvas seabag has exceeded my expectations. The canvas is heavy and very water resistant. I took it the other day to do laundry and had to walk back to my apartment in heavy rain and my clean clothes were completely dry. The shoulder straps are reinforced and perfectly comfortable when carrying a lot of weight in the bag itself. I feel this bag will last for years to come. The only thing I would caution buyers on is that many silica gel bags were thrown into the bottom of the bag, due to long-term storage I assume. About half the dozen or so silica gel bags were broken unfortunately and spilled all over my carpet. I'm still finding some of these little particles when I vacuum. I'm glad I don't have a pet! Therefore, be EXTREMELY careful when unpacking the bag when you receive it. Again, I highly recommend this sea bag.

The bag arrived quickly. It has lots of room, is constructed well and is obviously sturdy. The product is true to the product description with a pocket and shoulder straps. No unpleasant surprises. I recommend this bag.Update 11/28/21Someone asked if the opening was 22inches in both x and y directions. I didn't have time to answer, and I can't find the question so I will answer here and hope it helps. The answer is no. The bag opening is 22 inches if you grab at opposite ends and pull tight, so there is only a slit of an opening. The actual diameter is only around 14 inches if you want to know the largest opening possible. So, if you want to know the largest round object you can comfortably fit through the opening, it is one with around a 14 inch diameter dimension. My Son is in Arms Way and needed new Bag. I saw this ( I am Navy Veteran. Seen some bad stuff. and the same bag lasted me my whole 20 years!

I use this to keep a spare set of clothes, boots, jackets, Trama kit and survival gear in my truck. With the back pack straps it carries easy. It has become my go to, just in case bag, I have one in both my cars. Very tough and sturdy, tested the straps with a full load, and no sign of stretching or stress where it is integrated with the bag.
