My countertop steam distiller uses inserted charcoal pads to be a final filer for steam distilled water. It works fine. A bit tricky to insert into the distiller without falling back out, it works fine. I change mine every two months or so. Not sure if I need the charcoal since the only water that sees it is steam distilled, but it can't hurt, so ...

Got these for my water distiller. They are much smaller that the others I got. They seem to be doing the job.

Good charcoal packets. Only one tore but I think it was left in too long. 5 stars and will reorder.

I like the slightly smaller size and shape than the filters that came with my Ronsun countertop distiller.
