The benefits of this type of massager are to improve circulation in your calves and legs. It works like an air pocket compressing your feet or calves for a short period and decompressing to direct blood flow to your lower limbs.It would definitely function as a massager for aching legs, but I don't think that it is the ultimate benefit of this kind of massager. It recommends use for not only athletes but those with a sedentary lifestyle and people on their feet all day which I definitely agree with.It works by wrapping up your legs and feet, each foot is marked left & right and secured with velcro. It is attached to a remote which controls the settings. You can have individual modes that would control a calf or a foot massage to 4 different intensities of compression.The other option is a sequence where it goes through a sequence between the two - 3 types and you can control the intensities to the same 4 levels.The remote is reasonably loud while the air fills the pocket(s) so definitely be aware of that if you wanted more of a relaxation factor.I definitely see this as obtaining the health benefits of improved circulation in your lower legs through this product than a relaxing massage at the end of the day type product. As someone with poor circulation in my feet, I think this is excellent to use before bed and I am particularly excited to try this nearer winter time when the full benefit may be gained (cold feet!).All-round a great product which does what it claims to do but people might think it's a typical massager whereas I think its purpose is slightly different and I wouldn't want people to either be disappointed or miss out on the great benefits.

A very good product. Easy to use. Gives good pressure massage with heating.However the wrap around is for giant legs and feet !! As shown in the photos, the wrap with Velcro is way too big for a normal old gentleman’s legs and feet. This product should be made available in small, medium and large sizes. Else at least in two sizes. Giving 4 stars only because of that.Apart from that it’s a great product.

UPDATED: Turns out I hadn't turned the heat function on, so now that I have sussed that I've updated to 5 stars as the heat function is a nice bonus to have especially in these chilly months. The massage function is having a really positive effect on my calfs too, better than I expected really.I'm a 40 something runner who averages 30km a week I am always feeling tight calfs (or is it calves!?) and use a mixture of foam roller and pestering my wife for a leg massage. I was intrigued by this massager and thought I'd give it a whirl. It came well packaged and was pleased to find the carry bag as there is a fair amount of pipe work and large hand held control (which contains the pump) so I can neatly tuck it away in the cupboard. Sturdy UK adaptor with decent length cable and the massage enclosures themselves. Velcro fastening and they look to be suitable for most adult sizes. I wouldn't think they'd be suitable for a child.Trying it on for the first time I had wrapped them a bit tight and thought my left would burst! You get the sensation of compression, just like having your blood pressure taken. A quick press of the power button and all the air is let out allowing adjustment to fit correctly. Phew.Have had this for 4 days and used it each evening for 20 minutes. I must say, it does help relieve the tightness and overall tiredness in the calfs. Wife also likes it too (and she's younger than me!) so I reckon this will get regular use.I didn't notice anything remarkable about the heat function, and whilst not silent the pump isn't exactly loud.I'll keep my foam roller for those deep tissue knots but this massager is a good accompaniment and am pretty pleased with it.

Easy to use. Comfortable. But would have liked more of a massage. It just blows up and deflates. Feels good but would have liked more massaging.

Having already purchased Renpho's smart bathroom scales (which have been absolutely fundamental in me achieving my targets over lockdown) and their smart kitchen scales (also a fantastic bit of kit), I'm often on the lookout for new Renpho products. A brand I completely trust, with arguably the best customer service I've received if I've ever had a query.As a super-keen walker (I would estimate 25-30miles a week), and someone who works in the industry (a tour guide and designer of city discovery walks), this new product caught my eye as a potential antidote to muscle fatigue. I must admit, I was curious as to how good an electronic massager could be, especially since pre-lockdown I got regular thai massages every 4-6 weeks as a result of playing squash weekly, but I have been pleasantly surprised!Very comfortable to wear, plug-and-play ready to use out of the box (though it also has several settings that you can customise if you prefer), and I can really tell a difference after using them for just 20minutes. Renpho, in my opinion, are a company with a keen eye for detail, and even considerations such as a decent length cable so you don't have to sit right on top of a plug socket seem to have been really well thought-through.Overall, a very effective and convenient product to enjoy after a long day's walking/hiking, highly recommended!

Came without instructions or a power cable to plug in with, luckily we had a spare however even though the power lights on the device are on (signalling it is receiving power), the buttons don’t respond at all no matter what I press or how many times or for how long, meaning they don’t heat up or massage or anything - Disappointed doesn’t cover it! Received these as a Christmas gift so by the time I’ve gotten round to using them, unfortunately the return window has long passed and I cannot get a hold of the sellers at all.
