Replacement Headband Broken Side Cover Slider Lower L R Assy SVX Part KIT Inside Loop for Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 Headphones Headsets

I've repaired the both sides of my MDR-1000X successfully with this, and after some usage I'm quite pleased with the result. After replacing my broken slider, the ratcheting/clicking slide still works as before. Other slider kits seem to have issues with that so I'm glad to see it wasn't a problem here.I have attached some photos of my repaired MDR-1000X (1st gen) next to my much newer WH-1000XM3 (3rd gen). As you can see both arms are repaired, though I had to order this item twice in order to do so. Slide ratchet works and full rotation is restored, and even though the outer cover pieces are still cracked, this replacement part is the load-bearing component so no worries. Full strength has been restored to the headband assembly. And yes I intentionally chose the mismatching beige color, for no particular reason :)My only complaint: For the price I had been hoping this would include 2 pieces (to repair both left and right side of headband), but it's only a single piece in a small plastic bag. I had to order this twice to fully repair my headset.

Just replaced my MDR1000X's broken headband with this part. The installation is easy and doesn't need a manual. Too bad it took 15 days to arrive (it ships from China), and the other side of the headband also broke before it arrived. To return you need to mail it to China with UPS first class international, which the seller provides instructions, and will refund the price of item plus shipping.
