Works super and super fast if/when you get some kind of crazy ammonia spike

I've been using this Marineland White Diamond 50 Ounces filter media for 10 yrs or so. I do mix in some charcoal media in with it when refilling my media bags for my 50 gal. aquarium pump and filter. The water stays crystal clear and the fish stay healthy. Our balloon belly molly fish just keep on having babies, have to give them away. An unhealthy tank, fish won't reproduce. Sure, we lose a fish every now and again, but the average life span of these mollies is 1.5 to 2 years. So with them having babies, we haven't bought any new fish in the last 10 years. This media is doing it 's job with regular aquarium maintenance. Very pleased with this media. $5.29 for 50 ozs. will last me about 2 yrs.

great for the price and you get a pretty large container. Please keep in mind this will work to reduce ammonia but you still need to take care of the original issue of where the ammonia is coming from. But to keep it down this works very well

I love to add these to my cat litter! If I’m completely honest, I think they’re overpriced for what they do, but I do keep coming back to them. I use them in conjunction with charcoal bits and I do notice a difference when I go without them. I don’t rather my cats don’t mind them, enjoy the limiting of odors, or are just used to it. That being said, I’ve gone with/without this product and all of my cats (if various ages), over the years have had no problem adjusting. I will say that if I use either this or the charcoal exclusively (mixed into the litter), I don’t get the same results. It’s also not a miracle solution but, for me, every little bit of added odor-reduction that doesn’t bother my kitties is very valuable. For what it’s worth, I also use baking soda in the litter box and I feel this product works best when, not only combined with the other two, but also when it is lightly mixed/layered with the litter (until the cats do their thing and that seems to distribute it appropriately). If I’m emptying my litter boxes entirely and re-doing them, I use at least a full container (using less does not yield the same results) and that is where I’m uncertain rather it is worth the price.

We use a Litter Robot & needed an extended odor additive due to the litter lasting longer than your normal pan litter. I am very happy w/ the longevity, smell, dust level, weight, clumping speed/hardness, poop odor blocking, ammonia blocking, etc of our current set up.We have 8 cats, all fixed, 2 boys & 6 girls. 2 Litter Robots (adding a 3rd next year), a tote litter box, & a short tote litter box in their isolation enclosure. W/ this setup we only have to change the litter in the Robots if one of the cats get a sick tummy or when we do a deep clean on the Litter Robot itself.
