Thermos 24 Ounce Hydration Bottle with Connected Smart Lid, Teal (SP4005TL4)

I have had the Thermos Smart Lid and bottle for about a week. I wanted to try it before posting my opinion. I love my Fitbit, exercise daily, and attempt to drink a gallon of water each day. My Fitbit has been doing a great job of tracking my activity, but I was struggling to keep track of my water intake. When this product released, I was beyond excited to make this purchase. My initial reaction was the same as many others. It's very pricey for a water bottle. But, how do you put a price on your health and well-being? Reaching my daily goals are very important to me.When the bottle arrived, I downloaded the app and began using the bottle. The software is very accurate. I love watching my progress. I can now hit my water goal and I can hit it early enough in the evening so that I'm not drinking before bedtime. The Thermos software and the Fitbit software seem to be syncing very well with each other. I've had no issues with the app.I noticed that another complaint is that the lid is not dishwasher safe. This is not an issue for me. I don't mind washing the lid by hand. I like the secure lid and I don't find it difficult to open. I've laid the bottle on its side on my passenger car seat and it doesn't leak. The only thing that I find annoying about the bottle is that it sweats profusely if I use ice, and the bottle is not insulated so my ice melts rather quickly. I did not give the item one less star, because I knew the bottle was not insulated when I ordered it. I can't complain about something that I knew before ordering.It is an expensive water bottle, but I would order this item again. I have been very pleased with my decision to purchase it.I hope my review helps.

Another update after a few more months - My original review and update are posted below. I felt the need to post another update because this bottle seems to get worse with time. I used to love this water bottle and thought it worked very well. There were a few issues but usually putting it to sleep or recalibrating it worked. Now I'm running into issues where the app shows that I drank more water than I really did. Like right now, at 10AM the app says I have drank 30 oz when in fact I have only drank 6 oz so far. It's been doing this everyday for the last month. I have tried resetting the bottle, re-pairing it, re-calibrating, and putting the device to sleep, yet nothing has worked. I originally thought this bottle was great but now I can't rely on it. I still use it everyday but I barely check the app now. It's not worth the money - it starts out working great but gets worse over time. And the 10 day use on a single charge is false. If I use this everyday, all day on a single charge I will only get 5-6 days.Update after using this for a few months - the app is quite buggy. I find that every few days the app will stop updating and then I have to recalibrate to force it to start updating again. It's getting annoying to have to keep doing that. Also sometimes the app is slow to update upon launch. Also thermos marketing says it'll last 10 days on a full charge but it's more like 6-8 daysOriginal Review:Love this water bottle. The app's UI is great. It doesn't leak if it falls over. The only issue I have with it is that it has no indication (i.e. light) that it's charging or that it's finished charging. Once it's set up it's easy to see the battery level in the app and know if you need to charge it but before setup it prompts you to put it on the charger to wake up the smart lid and when nothing happened, I wasn't sure if it was awake or not. It fits 24oz of water. It fits in a cup holder or water bottle slot very easily. I also wish the app had support for the apple health app (the health app makes it easy to see all your health data in one spot).

I actually had one of these before, but I lost it, left it behind somewhere. The only complaint I have about it, as I do with all plastic water bottles, is it makes the water taste like plastic. So even though I like the smart function of the water, I feel de-incentivized to use it all of the time if I don’t like the taste of what I’m drinking. Then it defeats the purpose of trying to be consistent with my water intake. I wish they’d make an updated version of this product with stainless steel or something like the Stanleys have.
