Great film! Seen it so many times.

Whilst not going to win any oscars - this sequel is a treat for action fans, full of great cars stunts, great fights and of course pretty women.Staham reprises his role as rent a courier Frank Martin, this time filling in for a friend, and transporting a young child to and from school.The child is kidknapped, and before you can say Man on fire, Statham is out to rescue him.Whilst not original (or if thought prevails - logical) in plot, this is a fast and diverting film that simply does not slow from the opening car park fight scene to the brilliant Audi verses Miami police cruisers car chase and a final fight showdown on a plunging private jet.Granted the film relies on some bad logic, some even poorer CGI and a script that would not feel out of place in a B movie, but this film still delivers in the same way that the first one did - lots of stylish and expensive looking action - led by a ice cool lead.Statham has grown into his part well, whilst the writers/director(s) and producers (too many names to mention in a small review - but the same ones responsible for the first Transporter movie and behind other Stahem projects) all know exactly what they are delivering - a fast furious and stylish action franchise, that side steps being saddled with long exposition and just gets on with entertaining the audience.A great popcorn movie.

Much better than 1 and 3. Story line is better written and Jasons acting is far better, the one liners are 3xcellent. The French detective just brings that connection from 1 to 2, but he is just so funny. Well worth the watch.

Classic Transporter, absolutely brilliant!

Jason Statham has laways been well known for his hard man roles in movies, and this time he's more reserved, but if you tick him off he will just blow - his role as a transporter in this movie directed by Louis Leterrier, and written by Luc Besson shows him take on what he thought was a simpler role; drive a child around LA.What he didn't count on was a Columbian terrorist, and his strange entourage; Gianni Chellini, the front man, Dimitri, a chemical expert and some Lara Croft-esque woman who has two guns (now that's clichéd!). They want to hurt the father of little Jack, and most of his colleagues.There's very little dialogue, but a lot of firing, Frank jumping big air gaps in the car and police cars being wrecked, and all to a electronic/urban soundtrack. Jason's still very good as Frank, but his demeanour is a bit cold at times, though he does seem to have good manners "didn't your mother tell you to say thanks?"The screenplay is rather good, and the stunts are stunning, but sometimes it all becomes a bit dreamy, especially the scene where the plane falls into the water, it just looks so false and badly rendered on the PC - but the colours are exciting and warm, and the locations are just the right balance of uber-sleek and sleezy - especially the underground car parks, which makes it unrealistic, because I can't really believe Frank would hide down there, with it being easy for enemies to hide.I didn't like the other characters except for Jack and Frank, they're just too annoying and even obnoxious for me to even care if they made it or not, it was just great to see all the action - believable or not. Statham's cold exterior suited the role well, though you know he does care for people, and he does believe in being good - he just doesn't get much time to show it.I thought it was a pity that François Berléand's role was so minuscule, as he was great in the first offering, and Frank and himself made a good friendship back in France. Though his quirky portrayal of a French inspector is priceless - as he educates them on food.This isn't a bad movie, there could have been more dialogue - but this is just great to sit back and watch the dangerous fights and car rides. It wasn't believable; but it was fun, and that's what you need sometimes from a movie of this calibre, sometimes the lead role takes themselves too seriously, or the script is too serious, thankfully neither happens here, there's a good mixture.The extras on this are pretty good, with a music video, and a featurette worth talking about. The transfer is good and clear and the sound is great, which is important in such a sense attacking movie.Worth getting, but if you have blu-ray, then get that as it's magnificent!
