Icemaker

This is a very low budget picture but I quite liked it. It could be that it is brilliantly bad, or it could just be I was under the influence of a substance of sort...aha. Starring some oldies but goodies and some funny bits from some new comers. I've seen way worse low budgets. We used to call these type of films 'B' movies. There was something sort of artsy about many of them. This has funny moments for sure.

Nothing you would have seen on any top 10 movie lists. The story line was goofy and the acting was somewhat...well...goofy. But this is one of those medium budget films where the actors (several of whom proved their merit in other films) were just having some fun. Nothing at all wrong with that. They can't be all serious ALL the time or they would hate their jobs.

Way better than I expected it to be. Good performances for the most part - the two not-as-dumb-as-they-look grave robbers just trying to get the job done to keep their psycho boss from killing them, the creepy widow with the diamond fetish, the faded movie star (a surprisingly poignant performance by Joan Van Ark), the dogged detective on the case...it's campy with an underlying darkness that kept my interest.

I think I met the director at Sundance Film Festival... a nice guy. I bought 2 movies he did. This one surprised me as it is very low budget and he got good performances out of what are really TV actors. Interesting premise for a story.

My uncle from umvd brought me home a copy of Icemaker...to my pleasant surprise the movie was freakin hilarious! If you're lookin for a good laugh, ya gotta check this one out...it was great seeing Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers again!

Picked up this movie for Bronson Pinchot and nothing else! Really wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a fun movie to watch. I felt bad for Bronson's poor character, Bergerac, he's so clueless! But really that's part of his charm! The entire movie is kind of insane, but I will definitely be watching it again because I enjoyed it so much the first time around. Don't take it too seriously, just be ready for some fun ridiculousness and you'll enjoy this one.

Been a Bronson Pinchot fan for years. This movie was pretty good. It had it's good moments and not so good moments. All in all ann enjoyable movie.
