Avant-garde to New Wave: Czechoslovak Cinema, Surrealism and the Sixties

I've never written an Amazon book review before, but I felt the need to praise this book. I have not been able to put it down since I began reading, and I haven't even seen many of the films the author discusses. His insight is unique and more fleshed out than any other discussion I have encountered on the Czech New Wave. Just an amazing book.
