The DX1210 is a USB self-powered duplex card scanner which is fully TWAIN compliant and works with hundreds of other scanning applications, including all electronic healthcare and medical practice management systems which support TWAIN. It is used industry wide to scan medical insurance cards, driver licenses, and laminated IDs. It can be used in simplex mode to scan a single side, or in duplex mode to scan both sides of a card in one pass. Scan-ID: Driver License Reader Software The included Scan-ID software is a powerful card scanning system which enables you to scan and manage driver licenses and other identification cards. It reads the PDF417 2D barcodes on US and Canadian (AAMVA compliant) driver licenses and automatically places that information into their respective fields in the database, such as Name, Birth Date, Age, Address, License No, Issue date, Expiration date, etc. It also reads 1D barcodes (including Code39, Code128, EAN8, EAN13, and UPC). The system will automatically flag when a person's age is below a specified minimum requirement. A QuickSearch feature enables you to find any card easily.
