Fabulous accurate scales, great large red display,no glasses needed.Would recommend

First impressions of these scales is really good - well packaged, high quality of the packaging and product, easy to set up and use. Batteries are not included but are AAA type so easy to get hold of when needed. The battery compartment is easy to open with no tools. The design is simple and stylish. They live in a cupboard most of the times but if you have a small kitchen, these wouldn’t looks out of place on the worktop or on a shelf. They function well, with 1g increments. It’s easy to switch between units, even mid-measure. Personally I don’t use the ml function on scales because different liquids weigh different amounts for the same volume. I tested these scales and 100ml of water was measured correctly, but oil was not - the scales said 100ml but the measuring jug was just under 95ml. (Not the fault of the scales, just something to be aware of). I like the compact size of these scales but found when using a large measuring bowl or saucepan it was hard to read the numbers as they are located just above the bamboo panel. Not a major issue but sometimes it is useful to be able to measure directly into a container rather than into a smaller jug or bowl first. For a simple, functional and attractive pair of scales you really can’t go wrong with these. And they would make a lovely gift!

Does the job and nice looking addition to the kitchen

Nice looking set of scales! Usage is pretty much identical with every other digital scales I've used for the last ten years. Turn it on, put a bowl on it, hit tare to zero the weight. Add ingredient one to desired weight. Hit tare, add ingredient two. If you turn it on with a bowl on it, it'll automatically start zeroed. Remember to use it on a stable, level surface. Any kind of measurement device will be thrown off if used on an incline. Reasonable price for a good-looking kitchen scale.

To look at, these scales are very easy on the eye. The wood effect at the bottom really makes them stand out and goes nicely with the black finish. The weighing part is completely flat which is ideal for things to get weighed straight on it, or for bowls as standard. They do require batteries, which aren't included, so obviously the type of battery and whether it will be a set of rechargeable ones, merely depends on how often you'll use them. Like most scales you have the ability to switch between g, ml, lb etc, via the function at the bottom, and the 'tare' button is great for getting the scale to zero once a bowl has been put on. However, I came up against a few cons, one of them being the accuracy. I have flat surfaces yet the scale was showing weights before anything was put on it. Secondly, I found the tare/on and off button a bit hit and miss. I would put my finger over the on part and it took several attempts for the scale to register the action, if at all sometimes. A little bit frustrating seeing as you expect scales to be accurate and the functions to work correctly.

I really like these kitchen scales. The design is nice and it is not at all cumbersome to use. It's low profile design makes it really easy to store when not in use and this makes it the perfect addition to my small and cramped kitchen. The display is nice, bright and red on black and the option to show measurement in grams, pounds, millilitres or fluid ounces is a great bonus (my old scales measures just grams). On the whole I am very happy and would recommend to any in need of a small, compact design that can easily be stored away just about anywhere.

The scale looks nice, and it's very easy to read. It's compact and takes no space in the cupboard. When unused, it automatically turns off after 60 seconds. It needs 3 AAA batteries which are not included, so you need to buy them separately.
