Tactacam Bone Collector Solo WIFI Archery Package (TA-S-BC)

I REALLY like this camera, and though I am just a 'newbie' (sorry, couldn't think of another word, but think this one best describes me) to not only using a bow, but hunting with one as well. This camera was one of my first major purchases, (well, besides the bow itself) and I was rather impressed with it. I've only been testing it in warm temperatures so far, but will probably need to get another, more advanced one (3.0-4.0?) for better low-light clarity. I realized this is their least expensive camera, and therefore, just the 'base' version, if you will. It's great for what I'm using it for now, but I think I'll need a more robust camera for October, since it'll be a bit cooler. My only real complaint about this camera, is that the sound is at about 5% out of 100%. (yes, it's that bad, but mounting it under a bow, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing) The video is GREAT, and you have the ability to add a timestamp (or not) as well as to leave the "Tactacam" watermark in its place, or remove it! Also, if you have problems getting the pre-installed videos to play, (as I did, think my computer's too old) just search "tactacam" on "Youtube", and you'll find all you need to know!

I got this for my wife's first turkey hunt with a bow. She is small woman so every ounce added to her bow is critical. I got the camera after speaking with allot of hunters at elk/deer camp. It is light and easily functioned. I bought a more expensive action camera with all the fancy straps and attachments but this is by far much easier and more user friendly to use in hunting environments. I wish I had bought the Tactacam before laying out twice or three times the price on, an at present, more popular action camera platform.

We gave my Dad a GO-PRO a few years ago to take videos while hunting but he was unsatisfied with the quality of the footage and the the angle of the view. We gave my Dad this product this year and he is happy with how easy the product to use and the quality of the video.

We are bow hunters, we purchased 3, one for each bow for our trip to Illinois. I regret ordering them so far in advance prior to our trip. 2 worked great, 1 didn’t work at all. We were 1 day out of the return/exchange window.

Bought this as a gift. It came in a small box. Inside the box was the product box wrapped as requested but the wrapped package was damaged. It also looked like it was opened before (possibly been used?) because there were tapes along the side of the flaps to hold it down. Everything inside seemed new. The damaged box and tape just seems odd, to think I paid this much only to be using a new used camera... Who knows...?

Update: I contacted the support team from Tactacam and they were very helpful and quick to respond. They are sending me a back cap with a pad installed to absorb the shock from the arrow being released. If this works, I will update my rating.I'm really unimpressed with the Tacticam 2.0 Bow package. I've shot over a dozen arrows through my bow since I've bought this camera. So far the camera has stayed on to record one arrow. Sometimes it shuts off at the same time I release the arrow and sometimes it fails to record all together. So far, all I've received is a really expensive stabilizer.

Does a nice job of recording those moments one wants to share with friends and family. Wish it had a way to attach to my hat so I can capture POV versus just down the barrel.

The camera is great. Beware the listing on Amazon is not correct. This is the bow package and there will not be a universal gun mount with this item. I have all ready used and will be using this on my hunting trips. I contacted Tactacam and they were very nice and is going to replace items which where missing from the package excluded the gun mount.
