We're living in a crazy time: Stuck at home; travel is limited... Zoom, Skype and Google Duo are all the rage. But I didn't think I needed another WebCam. I was wrong! A little history: I actually have 2 other WebCams; the one built into to my work laptop and a Logitech that sits on top of the monitor, in my home office. I'm a computer/technology reseller and I thought I was all set. However, I've purchased other products from this manufacturer, so I thought I'd check out this webcam. I have several customers that need WebCams, now, so I wanted to see if I should add this model to my inventory. Anyway, this is an EXCELLENT CAMERA... and a definite improvement over the ones I've been using. Here's what you need to know: The setup is simple. Plug the camera into an available USB Port and Windows 10 detected it instantly and installed the drivers for both the camera and built-in microphone (no disk or download needed). My first test was to check out the camera image in my Zoom application. The images were very good and I was pleased. But, then, I switched on Zoom's "HD" option and the image went from "very good" to outstanding. True 1080p, for sure. Even better, at the HD level, the image had a wider-angle view, which would be perfect if you wanted to use this camera to show 2 or 3 people. I've been watching television newscasts, with videos from home WebCams. The images from this camera equaled or surpassed the the news clips I've been watching. The promo for this camera advertised that the microphone was "noise canceling". In my tests, I didn't detect much noise-canceling. However, the sound quality was quite good that the other members of my Zoom meeting reported that my voice was "loud and clear"... so, I was pleased to hear that. Finally, there are a couple of other features I noticed: This camera supports a screw-in mount. If I were doing a video podcast, that could come in handy (I have a mini-tripod that would be perfect for this camera). Also, the mounting on the monitor was made easier by the design of the camera mount. I'm sure there are less expensive WebCams, available (though they seem to be in short supply at our local retail stores). If you're looking for the cheapest WebCam, this might not be your best choice. However, if you're looking for a great "value," you should really give this one a try. The superior images and simple installation, at this price, make this a good choice. I will be recommending this model to my customers.

In the time of pandemics, webcams are crazy expensive. At $40, this camera is a real steal. I wasn't expecting much out of one the cheapest webcams available, but this thing is actually seriously good. I use it for streaming and the angle is pretty wide. Image is very clear and white balance is good. Couldn't ask for more. If you're looking for a webcam, don't hesitate to pick this one up. I haven't evaluated the audio on it so I can't speak to that.

It's dead simple to use with a Mac, plug and play. The picture quality is good enough for my needs (video calls, light video recording maybe), which is to say, good for a $36 camera. If I wanted amazing closer-to-movie picture quality -- I'd get something in a different price range. One drawback is there's no real way to adjust many things, like zoom in/out (so less of my home is visible during video calls), but there might be software controls for this. Again, fine for $36 camera, but in hindsight something nicer would have been.. well.. nicer. Sadly during the covid epidemic, most of the decent nicer cameras are sold out everywhere. Anyways, for the price, the quality is good enough.

This camera is basic and serves its purpose. I had some difficulty enabling the camera and microphone. If there is software to use its features better, I am not aware of it. I would like to change from broad angle to a narrower version for the camera. I tried to make a video and it disappeared. It has a better picture than my old one so I plan to keep it.

This camera is by far the best one I've ever owned. The picture is crisp and clear. The sound is great. This camera reminds me more of a high quality camcorder with its dynamic production. It was easy to set up and is easy to use. I recommend this camera to anyone.

I am using it for Zoom meetings, and it is marvelous for that. I use it with a bluetooth headset/microphone for speech clarity. The built-in mic sounds muffled, but okay if you are close to the camera. The mount gives it the extra oomph for usability. Very worthwhile and very nice to use under Linux Mint 19.3.

The microphone is terrible on this product. I didn't buy it for that, so moving on the camera: It's awful. If you could adjust the exposure it would be fine. I have my computer at a completely normal brightness and this thing picks up SO much light that you can't even see me!! I am sorry but I don't know what these other reviewers were smoking. They must have got an actually good camera and were paid for a review or something, cuz there's no way someone would think this is worth the money. This is not a four star product. I hope that you looked at this review before purchasing. I wish someone could have saved me the trouble. Now i need to wait another couple days to get a webcam that I need now for online classes....not a happy customer.

This is a must buy . Video quality is great! Works on my Mac and with Windows . It is a great replacement to the inferior cameras on top of laptops great choice great price ! Customer service second to none . I have tried it with FaceTime, Skype Zoom and Microsoft Teams
