99% User Error
The media could not be loaded. Let me be direct.99% of the bad reviews are all user error. You're not going to get a self perpetual tornado simulation device for $5... Which is what most 1 star reviews seemed to be expecting.A couple circular flicks of the wrist, and you get torecreate 'Twister' and watch a tornado rope out over farmland. It's awesome.Shaking it like a neanderthal isn't gonna do it--There's a learning curve, sure. But with average intelligence and a functional arm, that curve shouldn't last more than 2 minutes or so.Now, it does take a certain level of coordination. Something I'm not sure small children possess. Uncoordinated children have a way better chance of flinging it against a wall and causing a small flood than a tornado. (Wrong natural disasters)I just bought this twister toy because i got my first one from a museum gift shop at age 11, andI wanted to relive some old memories. Basically, I'm saying an 11 year old can get this tornado maker to work. My 8 year old, however, can't. She just doesn't have the wrist-quick flick ability yet.So concerning all these one star reviews slamming this toy because it 'doesnt work'- it does. Its not the products fault. It's the user... Unless it came cracked (which still wouldn't be the toy's fault, it would be the shipper), or empty, there's no reason to 1 star it. Once you master the flick of the wrist, it's awesome.Included are some pictures of various tornados I'vemasterfully recreated by painstakingly turning my hand around in a couple circles.Again, to all the 1 star reviewers- if your tornado doodad is intact, it works. You dont. It was $5. It's not going to make the tornados for you- they do have those though, but they cost a bit more. Put a little effort into it (and I mean a little)It's pretty cool once you give it a fair shake.Pun intended

Not a tornado maker
This little tornado maker toy is not. It is simply a jar of water that does not make a tornado when you shake it, does not require any preparation to make a tornado and is a waste of money.Evidently, somebody thought it was a cool idea to make themselves some money but is not worth the cost of the water. Absolute junk. I sent it back.

Underwhelming
My Grandson was super into tornados and I thought this would be perfect for his small hands, but it was hard for him use.
