Cheap and functional gigabit SFP module!
I'm using this in some older Ubiquiti gear that's not SFP+ and only supports SFP (until I swap it out later this year when I do another round of home network upgrades). Works absolutely fine to interconnect some SFP gear with short cables. Zero complaints.

Reliable, Fantastic Value
With my entire network being Ubiquiti, like many others I was hesitant to purchase an off-brand device. I need Four of these, but purchased one just to see how things went. Then I ran into a problem.Plugged it into my living room switch, then nothing happened. Lost Heartbeat on the switch. Rolled back the changes then went into the controller to find my SFP ports were disabled. (Duh!) I enabled the port, then waited for the switch to detect the new SFP before moving my uplink cable. Switch recognized the device, vendor name, serial and Part Numbers. Then i moved my uplink to this port and presto! I can't speak on the 10/100 devices, as this is going back to my primary Unifi Switch which is all Gigibit. But at least I freed up a PoE port for future use.Now I will purchase three more to complete the wiring. For those wondering what is sitting next to the switch:That is an "AC Infinity MULTIFAN S2" blower style fan. These switches are passively cooled. Currently the Fan is on Medium speed, but at MAX, it dropped the Switch Temps from 150f down to 98f. 52 degree drop from a super quiet $15 USB powered fan.=== UPDATE (1/27/2021) === 6 month update: The original in my living room switch went bad after a power outage. Nothing else was affected. Then one on my main switch went bad a few months later, even though it was plugged up to battery backup. It was past 30 days so I couldn't return that one. Right now I am running 3 of these and its going okay so far. Hopefully they last a while longer than a few months each. Otherwise, I'm happy with them.=== UPDATE (4/30/2024) ===It has been a few years now, and no issues at all. Changing rating to 5 stars!

Works on Araknis AN-300-SW-8-POE
Order the Cisco variant. Worked perfectly in my Araknis 8-port Gigabit POE switch, model AN-300-SW-8-POE. Ran file-copy tests from my laptop to my QNAP NAS and it runs a full speed in both directions It does feel like it runs on the warm side. I will update my review if I encounter any problems.

Plug 'n Play! But beware of static discharge.
Firstly, the company was extremely helpful, both in choosing which of their models would work and also in overall fast and friendly response. The SFP module they sent me came quickly and was safely packed. I am using this module to give an additional port to my Allied Telesis X230-18GP managed, stackable PoE switch. The switch comes with 16 active PoE ports and 2 additional SFP ports. Without fiber cabling those 2 ports were unavailable to me. Now with the Gigabit RJ45 plug-in module from QSFPTEK I have an additional port that I feed from my router, freeing up all my PoE ports for my devices. Thanks, QSFPTEK! I would not hesitate to do business with this company again. As a retired IT admin, the support for any given product is usually of greater value than the product itself. I believe that this company is a company worth knowing for SFP modules. They are more than happy to provide that support when needed. This said, read the fine manual! Unwanted static discharge is always lurking, so take care when handling this transceiver. Ground yourself while installing the module and you should have a very positive experience.

Has compatibility issues with some devices. Good support staff, very helpful guys.
Update 4/20:For the first time reader: I originally ordered this item a few weeks ago to connect a spare SFP port of my Netgear managed switch to the Verizon ONT that feeds my home with a gigabit internet connection –I did set up a VLAN between two ports of the switch to connect the router to the ONT. Then, disappointment: It wasn't able to upload data at 1gbps. The router did download at 1-gigabit, but it wasn't able to deliver gigabit upload speed then the ONT was connected this module. If I connected the ONT to a built-in switch port, the setup was able to do both gigabit uploads and downloads. The only thing different reducing the upload speed (down from 1Gbps to 60Mbps) was connecting the ONT to this module.I did return the item, gave a 1-star review and I was contacted by the seller. They were very sorry this situation had happened, and offered to send me a second unit for review. Once the second unit arrived, conducted additional testing with other devices in my network, to be able to compare. The upload speed when connected to the ONT was still 60Mbps, but connecting other devices it was able to transfer in both directions at 1gbps. I kept the SFP module, just connected a different device to it.The support guys from this seller were really cool, and I did appreciate they reached out and tried to make things better. Definitively they care about their customers, something you don't get to see that often. As for my final rating: I did expect 100% full compatibility from this module with every gigabit device I could throw at it, and I was disappointed the one device I wanted to connect to it, did deliver such poor upload results. I really liked the fact the seller followed up on this, and provided the support their clients need. So I'm raising the overall rating to 4 stars.---------------------------------------------------Update 4/15:After having some issues with slow speed connections, I was contacted by the seller’s tech support staff and they have been working very diligently to find a solution to the issue at hand.I’m waiting for a second unit to arrive to further validate proper operation. In the meantime I’m raising the review a couple of stars now to acknowledge their continued interest to fix the issue despite the hardships we are all facing during the pandemic. As soon as the second unit arrives, I’ll update the railing again to reflect the actual product quality.Original 1-star review:Just got this guy for a Netgear GS310TP switch to have one of its spare SFP ports to connect it to my provider's modem. After setting up a VLAN between the router and the modem, I connected the modem to this module. The network connection was successful and I was able to have internet access. However, after taking a closer look on the speed benchmarks, I found out that although the module supports 1Gbps download speed, but does not support more than 60Mbps upload.I double-checked with the internal ports of the switch, and they were able to achieve 1Gbps both download and upload as I was quite stunned on this discrepancy after isolating it to the module itself. I'm quite disappointed for this development, and I'd appreciate if someone else had a similar experience, or if you had done any performance testing of the product. If I get no response I'll be asking for a refund
