Universal Oil Filter Magnet Protect Our Performance Engine Fits: Most Cars and Trucks

Even though it looks like a magnet from a speaker. It was still good and held on good.

I change my oil on all my vehicles. Originally, I was a skeptic. Not anymore! For years I've changed the oil on my vehicles. Taking off the oil filter normally would feel empty. Since purchasing the magnet, (which is placed directly on the bottom of your oil filter.) Now has some weight. I do feels it traps metal particulates in the filter. I have them on two vehicles, (1992 Ford F-150; 2010 Mustang GT; and my XT1 Cub Cadet lawn tractor) The magnet is strong. Not one magnet has been lost since i've purchased them, well over a year and a half ago.

Installed onto the top of my 2023 Road King Specials’ oil filter. No issues!

First off I'd like to say the product came exactly as described, was a fraction of the cost a Filter Mag brand one would have cost and it showed up fast. With all that said, this magnet will not stay put unless you glue it to filter. It will slide around and/or off the bottom of the filter. Not a deal breaker for me. I am confident it will catch most of the metal particles that might run through the filter. But I did have to use a small amount of Right Stuff gasket maker between it and the filter for it to stay put.

The magnet is very strong and it’s well made. I rated it at a 3 because the magnet does move when mounted to the bottom of the oil filter. Oil filters are not completely flat on the bottom. I knew this before buying it but figured I’d give it a try.The best place to put something like this is on an oil pan or something that’s flat, as long as it’s not aluminum. You’re much better off buying the filter mag made for oil filters.

This looks good , magnet seems strong but will not stay put!! My oil filter is mounted side ways , maybe if it were straight up and down? But it can’t work if it will not stay put!!!Will be trying something else!! DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!

Great product to help pull metal filings from the oil and keep the sludge in the filter until filter is replaced.

this magnet is as described and pretty strong. The reason I put "as described" in the headline of this review is because that's becoming increasingly rare on amazon to get stuff that's accurately or fully described.
