makes great ice balls
These are the best ice ball makers !!!. They are easy to fill, and open up after freezing. Highly recommend. They are a must if you're having a Bourbon or a cocktail where you want ice, but not ice that will melt quickly. perfect size. I bought 3, 2 for myself and one for a friend. great item. everyone should have at least one. They look beautiful in a glass too.

Great ice ball maker
This ice ball maker is great! I've always put off getting one because it seemed like it would be a hassle. I almost bought the more expensive one with 4 balls and 4 big cubes. I chose this one. The solid bottom and rubber top is one reason I chose this. And the price.I used the little funnel it came with. After filling these a few times, I figured out it is much easier to fill by holding the funnel just above the hole. Don't have the water running very hard. I actually don't need the funnel anymore. I just turn the water on with a small stream as big as the hole. It fills quickly. Once they are all filled, I push on the top once so a little water pops out. The ice expands. Before filling, make sure the top is pushed down good all around and in between the balls.I let the tray sit a couple of minutes and then remove the rubber top. I use the heat of my hand to loosen the rubber from the ice ball. Then I push them into the ice cube container. I didn't want to run water over them in case they crack.I use 2 balls in my Yeti in the morning. I fill it with cold water. There was a little ice in there the next morning! When using alcoholic beverages, the ice does melt a little faster. They still last longer than regular ice cubes! There is no rubber taste.I wish I bought these sooner!I will update my review to see how long these hold up.

Great product yet cumbersome to use
The top is easy to remove once balls form, and the whole thing is easy to clean in the dishwasher's top rack. The included funnels are easy to use and both the top and bottom are easy release. And, these large ice balls are great for tall travel mugs of water since they do NOT melt fast. All that said, the process of making these large ice balls is cumbersome. Not only does it take time to fill the forms with a tiny funnel, you must ensure you are NOT filling these to the brim. Otherwise, as the balls form, you will have frozen ice all over the tray and the bottom of your freezer that you'll have to scrape off. This will take practice and time. Getting this might not be a good idea if you're having a party tomorrow.Overall, not a bad deal.

Ice spheres
They work fantastic. Trays are better than individuals. I have both. I bought 2, makes 12 which is enough for 12 cocktails. They are easily fractured with a meat tenderizer to make smaller pieces.

Awesome
While I did give the product a 5 star it didn't receive 5 on easy to use and easy to remove. First off I will say one cube, or should I say "ball" works on two drinks. That is, unless, you babysit your drink for quite sometime. While they are simple to use, filling does take time with the tiny funnels, are very prone to making a mess (thankfully it's just water) and once it close to the top you find out it's completely filled by it spilling out the top. Yeah, yeah, I know "don't fill it up all the way and it won't happen". I feel like I'm defeating the purpose of the oversized ball if I don't fill it up all the way.Secondly, when filled up by half or more the ice can get frozen to the silicon top and be difficult to pop out, due to ice forming around the bottom edges of the silicon and the ball essentially making it "stuck". However, neither of the two items warrant a low rating but I cannot say 5 star. I do love the size of the ice and it does work great!

Frustrating product but it's makes nice balls
I'll break this down into multiple parts:Final product is great (4.8/5). The ice balls fit snuggly into my Stanley and last forever. For this reason alone, I chose to keep the mold and disfigured it to make it easier to use.Filling the mold is a complete pain in the ass (1/5). The funnel provided is tiny, drains very slowly and doesn't allow air to escape as water is poured in; so it clogs and doesn't fill at all. A worthless addition. Pouring directly into the holes has the same issue. Filling the plastic part and putting the mold on gives you half-cylinder ice cubes, which is not what I want and not what they're advertising. To solve the problem, I cut the holes in the silicone part of the mold much wider. This made filling it much easier and faster. This solution is ugly and shouldn't have been required in the first place. It's obvious the product was sold before proper testing. The garbage plastic funnel is further evidence. But if you don't mind cutting ugly-ass holes, or if you have a steadier hand than myself, this fix works well.Removing the iceballs from the mold (2/5). You have to either let the silicone part sit out for a bit to let the ice melt a little, or yank the hell out of the ice balls and risk tearing the silicone. I've used it for a few months and it hasn't torn yet, but it is only a matter of time.TL;DR For a few bucks, I have a disfigured mold that I have to risk destroying each time I remove the ice balls.. but I am left with some pretty good ice cube balls. Giving this a 3/5 is generous, but I will keep using it until it breaks.
