i have been a “coffee snob” since college - MANY YEARS AGO! That said, I have used Starbucks, and many drive up coffee spots. They all irritated my IBS! I was tired of waiting before heading out the door because of the “natural” side effects of most coffee’s. A friend (& a Dr.) recommended this brand while on vacation. I never tried freeze dried coffee. My perception had always been “that’s what my grandparent’s always used” and lacked in taste and freshness. I was the person that always purchased fresh coffee beans and ground them the morning of drinking coffee, hence, “coffee snob” as friends and family stated. I was beyond surprised at this delightful, aromatic and fresh tasting coffee! The other coffee's mentioned above always had a bitter or burnt taste. I would always add more sugar and creamer to offset the others which added calories and more sugar than needed just for counteraction. I use 1 packet per 8 ounce with a pinch of creamer and honey. It is better than any coffee I have had before - that is saying something. If I need more of a pick-me-up, I will put 2 packs in with about 12-14 ounces of hot water. I do use a kettle that heats up to boiling in less than a minute. The time saving of waiting for the coffee to finish brewing is another plus. I also was aware some were also sprayed with pesticides. I was always worried about this in particular due to the health implications. In my opinion, it is never too late to improve one’s health via nutrition. This brand is certified USDA organic. One taste and you can tell the difference between this coffee and others not organic. The other wonderful benefit is the ease of travel. It goes with me camping, vacationing or on work trips. This also offsets with my ability to “get out the door” quicker and not having the many restroom trips. There is absolutely zero negative effects on my bowels (no flip flopping or bubble guts). This goes without saying I get all the benefits of amazing coffee, ease of packets for travel and zero side effects with IBS irritation. 10/10 recommend!

We are in the middle of a remodel with no kitchen. We had been limping along with an 8 year old k cup machine that was on its last leg. It bit the dust on us and I began searching for coffee alternatives that were instant. I came upon this coffee and after reading the reviews I was intrigued. I took a chance and ordered a big box. It came quickly and relieved our coffee woes. When we made it I mixed a single pack with water which appears like it's made for a 6 or 8 oz cup and I liked it. In fact it's mellow enough that I drink it black and yet packs just enough flavor to keep you coming back. The caffeine is there in enough abundance to get you going on a cold start kind of morning but you might need another pack in your cup for a tough day. Wakes you up and the little packs let you choose how much you need. I put 2 packs in a quart jar and drink cold and black most days. I'll have another one in the afternoon which keeps me going. It mixes well even into cold water without a utensil. Just swirl it around wait a couple minutes swirl again and it's done. Good cup of coffee and so effortless. As for the organic label, it tastes very clean. I don't doubt it's organic. There's no off flavors like you get from cheap canned coffee. No funk like the old dirty beans used in big red plastic bins you find at every grocery store. Just clean simple coffee. Way better than tasters choice not even in the same category. Very similar in quality to the instant stuff I've had from Starbucks but not as much flavor as some of the bold rich blends they have. A true gem of a find on Amazon in this throw away fake plastic world. Something that tastes good is often hard to find. Look no further for your instant coffee needs.

We wanted coffee while backpacking, and these did the trick. They tasted pretty good in hot water, and even did well in cold water. Because of water scarcity, we used them almost as espresso - two of them for a few ounces of water got us a shot of coffee that was strong enough to satisfy our caffeine and coffee needs for the day.

I drink black coffee and it has to be good coffee to taste good.... This stuff hits the mark. Works good up hunting with the jetboil for keeping warm and boosting morale.

Great coffee! Mount Hagen has given me back the joy of coffee! After having Covid, coffee was too bitter to drink. As someone who’d always drunk black coffee all day and night, I was not pleased. Now I’m finally able to enjoy coffee again. No bitterness once I found my perfect ratio of coffee to water. It's better than any other coffee I’ve ever tried!

The best instant coffee I’ve had. Much better that a lot of brew coffees

I’ve tried many instant coffees and this is the best one. I had to drastically cut back on coffee and these little single serving tubes allow me to restrict myself to one cup of coffee and there’s no need to use a coffee maker. It tastes good and you can’t tell it isn’t brewed. Just mix it into hot water. Doesn’t make me jittery either. Great for camping or keeping in your car or bag for coffee emergencies!

This is the best tasting, and smelling, instant coffee I've had (tried it after seeing Luke endorse it on The Outdoor Gear Review on youtube). Just black it still has a hint of that freeze-dried taste but if you add anything like cream or flavoring it is delicious. I've been using it lately with a frother and a little sugar to make Greek Frappe.

I like that these are ethical and Organic, I like that these were a better buy than the Starbucks coffee packets. I do find I need to use 1 1/2 to 2 packets for a good cup of coffee, as I like the coffee a little stronger. Happy to find this convenient coffee for a better price.

Tried both Mount Hagen and Starbucks VIA. Like the organic nature of Mount Hagen and coffee flavour is really good for an instant coffee. However, the Starbucks VIA Pike Place has finely ground coffee added so it tastes closer to real coffee.
