Great beginners roller skate.
I was a little weary about ordering these for my son because of the reviews. These are his first pair of skates so I didn't want to spend a whole lot on them but I didn't want to be super cheap either. I measured his foot by inches and compared it to the dicks sporting goods website where they had a Chicago skate size chart. (I googled it and it was easy to find). His foot measured a little under 11inches (big kid) so we ordered an 11. They arrived fast but then again I have prime so it's free 2day shipping anyway. They look good and fit him perfect with a little wiggle room. He says they are very comfortable. He immediately hit the streets. Skated for 3 hours outside. Then came in and skated around the house the rest of the evening. At the end of the day I asked him how they felt and he said he felt like he was wearing shoes and didn't hurt at all. Other reviews mentioned the strap falling off, parts coming loose and seams coming unstitched within the first day! His looked fine. Again, these are his first pair of skates. He's also a 12yr old boy who is a very rough kid. So if u can imagine, These took a pretty good beating the first day but are still in tact. It's been 4 days since then and this kid literally has been wearing them from the moment he wakes up till the moment he goes to sleep. They are already skuffed up due to him falling on the street but no rips, loose stitches or loose parts. They seem sturdy. Only thing he asked me to do was to loosen the wheels so they could spin better. I also sprayed a little wd40 on the bearings. So far I think this was a great buy. Not too expensive, looks good, are comfortable and best of all... hes happy with them.

Chicago skate bullet speed skates
Very good skates I would recommend them to everyone, I was a little nervous at first because of some of the reviews, but they came very good, especially for the price. I do recommend getting a size up.

Good for no-frills rink skating and beginners
Great skates for rink skating, this is the second pair I've bought. My first pair lasted four years, and even survived a few bouts of outdoor skating. If you're looking for skates that roll, are lightweight, and aren't gonna get all rickety on you, these are them. They are well constructed and durable and the wheels are good for indoors. Everything is straight and tight on arrival. These skates work for spins/bunny hops but they are NOT trick skates. These are for no-frills skaters, the minimal amount you can achieve with the most enjoyment, for learners and casual skaters. CONS: The brakes (toe stops) are very hard, maybe good for outdoors on asphalt but not grippy enough for indoors, so plan on replacing them with other (bolt on) toe stops. The bearings aren't awful, but as a general rule they should be replaced with something else no matter what wheels you're on. If you want to skate outside, you will want softer/larger wheels. I have been able to skate outside on what they come with, but the cracks and textures will really mess you up. GENERAL STARTERS RULES: With every new pair of skates (and preferably before you put them on every time) adjustments need to be made. Listen very carefully: NEED. You need to tighten everything down firmly before you get started. Dont tighten the ones with the rubber cushions that attach to the skates much, if you tighten it much more then you'll ruin the cushion. Once the wheels and toe stop and the little nuts on the boot are tight, you want to go to each wheel and loosen it a quarter turn (90°) or less and spin the wheel, once the wheel spins freely and sustains for a little bit then its loose enough. If your wheel slides/rattles on the pole holding it (any more than just a tiny tiny bit of wiggle room) then you need to tighten it down all the way and start again.

For children, absolutely. See the edit though.
I'm a very experienced skater and my skates are very very expensive, so I'm not writing this review for my 6 year old son who wears a size 1. They fit a little smaller than expected, but are very good skates for younger skaters, plenty solid enough for him and his weight. Enough so that when he grows out of theses I'll buy the next side up, maybe even size 3 too. I have had to adjust them, the wheels are too bound up, the trucks are tightened all the way down, I could see both of those things as problems for someone that buys them. I would not buy these as an adult though, the trucks are thinner than I would want, the strength for an adults weight is suspect, great for children though. Edit: These are definitely not ready to jump in and skate, and they are definitely a good buy for children and definitely would steer clear as an adult skate. I looked closer at the skates and realized they use a spacer between the bearings, not only is is unnecessary but it also helps the bearings not roll properly. For some reason the only picture I have of those is while it's still in the wheel, sorry. It's clear that the wheels were not made with that particular spacer in mind because when you remove them the bearings fit all the way in, something they don't do if you don't remove that spacer. The nuts are tightened so far down that a few of the bearing dust shields are bent, one is so bent that impedes the ability for the bearing to be smooth. So the wheels and toe stops suck, the boot and plate are fine (for children,) the bearings are fine if they didn't crank down on them from the factory, and you remove the spacer, and the tool that came with the skates wouldn't work on the nuts of the skates (so I had to use my own socket set.) For 40 dollars I'm supremely satisfied, skates are expensive and these manage to not be because they need work out of the box.

Small
The skate is fine but I ordered a 4 in woman's for my girl. They were to small (kept them because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning) Ordered a 5 in woman's got another pair of 4s again. It's irritating and she's missing practices.

Start slowly then you’ll get used to it to new one than the one in the skating rink
Very comfortable and goes fast once you pick up the pace indoor from I use and easy to secure

DANGEROUS WHEELS!
The negative comments about the wheels are a serious understatement. I saw them when ordering but it seemed like a bit of an exaggeration. These wheels are not just cheap as rhey infered but seriously unsafe! For context, I am not a small or light person. I am 6' 2" and 275 lb. I got these because they are made for grown adult men which is not to easy to find in my size, especially afforable. I was not on a slick surface but the concrete sidewalk outside my office when I tried these. There were no cracks or debis either so I felt it was a perfect place to try them on. I planned to go the approx. Mile to my Boston through a quite residential area to test them. I got to the point I was on my feet and making an attempt to move foreward juts slightly. Getitng to my feet already felt off but I hod np time to do anything about it as pushing a little pressure on my right foot caused both to immediatly slip out form under me. These wheels are so smooth and slick out of the box that there is no way to get any traction whatsoever. I couldn't even get up to walk it over to the bench, now a coupke feet away as I had nothing to pull myself up on and rhe wheel just kept rolling freely. The brakes are so far up that they are completely useless as well so there is nothing you can do. I am very lucky I only wound up shaping my shin where it was uncovered and lightly sprianing my right arm/wrist where I felt on it. If I had been at a risk I am certian I would ahve been in the hospital and possibly sent others there by accident as well. I will come back and potentially redo this review once I get new wheels bit I feel a warning really needs to be put out so others don't make this mistake! The wheels These skates come with are NOT SAFE! DO NOT USE THESE SKATES WITH THE WHEELS THAT COME WITH THEM! They are EXTREMLY poorly designed to the point it seems negligent. They doo have grooves on them but they go the direction the wheel turns and are very shallow as to only make them more resistant to friction. I am honestly shocked they are still allowed to sell these as is and haven't have a serious lawsuit already. I am especially let down as I have been waiting to get a new pair for myself for some time. I was really looking foreward to skating to my bus but instead embarrassed myself in front of my workplace security with a miserable fall, had to awkwardly take them off as fast as I could on the curve of rhe parking lot since I couldn't even stand bakc up without risk and had to run while injure, carrying the things jammed in the bag awkwardly to barely make my ride. A very bad experience that couldn't have been even worse. I won't say not to buy these buy I will say to forget these wheels! They are conplete garbage and a serious potential liabilty to the health of anyone who uses them. Again, just appear to have Syrians and scrapes this time but it was clearly the fault of the wheels and could have easily been worse! Hopefully this store corrects this! Also, please spread the word with your own experiences and be fully honest! I saw the other bad reviews about these but none that warned me how they were a severe health risk! Had I known, I would not have ordered these! I now have to buy new wheels and wait for them to arrive on top of everything else which may make them more costly than alternate options again. Very bad experience so far. They are cheap, fine. Not an excuse for giving a dnagerous product though. Especially one without sufficient warning.
