I really like this butter warmer. I don't use a microwave so these are great for melting butter and warming syrup.

These are very nice and will keep your butter smoking hot!! They become very slippery when washing and for fear of breaking them. I just ordered a second pair. And they also have a huge capacity to hold hot butter, more then you will need! Now for a word of "CAUTION" the base that holds the little candle become extremely hot. Do not touch it! If you need to move the butter warmer a bit there is a nice edge at the bottom to slip your fork on and then you can move it to a position of your likening. Sometimes its easy to just touch something to move it without thinking about it being hot. So be careful, you can move it with no problem as I have explained. And even the box is nice the way it is made with a built in divider to keep the warmers apart! I think someone may have posted about the warmers becoming black on the bottom from the candle flame. My warmers did no such thing and remained clean on the bottom.

They look great. I put knobs of butter in them and within a few minutes, they were melted. As other reviews have stated, they started bubbling/popping. So, I just warned my guests and people would move the butter dish to their plate to let it cool down, and return it to the flame when it needed to be warmed again. No big deal. Easy to clean, and the candles did not leave black smoke on the bottom. They held plenty of butter for a crab feast.

This does a really good job of heating up, in our case bagnacouda, even full. In the video you can see the little bubbles from the slight “boil”.

I ordered 3 sets of these, and they arrived quickly but one was broken. I reported it thru Amazon, and a replacement was on its way within moments, arriving 2 days later! It was that simple. I did not even have to return the broken item. As for quality, they are simple, sturdy, and nice looking. The bowls did not get too hot to handle at any point during our meal. The bottoms of the bowls did not get sooty from the flame. Good choice, reasonable price. Great customer service.

Clever design

I have never in my life been so emotionally moved from such a small, simple, butter-warming piece of pottery. It not only has warmed my butter, but my inner soul as well. Other butter warmers have an open tea lit candle, but these babies have a wind guard; Invaluable when feasting outside on a breezy day, and you have that need for some hot butter. Everytime I passionately dip my seafood into the bubbling hot butter, it will gurgle with ectsacy, dripping down the side of my utensil. Oddly, I can always hear Barry White's greatest hits in the background when that special moment occurs. Never again will my butter cool down and harden, but will forever stay in a perpetual state of hot buttery love. I no longer have to leave my house. You know why? Cuz' I got hot butter. Behold! I yell to you upon the highest mountain, this is the grandest invention mankind has ever known. Warm my butter, warm!
