Saved me from having to buy a new laptop
Needed to replace this charging port in my Dell laptop and it worked great! The fit was perfect and it was easy to install and replace. It was a great value for the money, especially since I was able to repair my laptop and not have to buy a new one for such a small cost. I have not had any other issues in charging my laptop, so I would highly recommend this product to others.

Good As New, Easy Install!
I thought it would be a lot harder to change this part out, but it was actually incredibly easy. The lengthiest part of the process was unscrewing the laptop and prying the chassis apart so I could get at the innards. Once I had it open, the rest of the process was practically effortless. This slots right in, and based on a visual comparison at least, it appears to be a perfect physical match for the part I was replacing (minus the frayed bit that necessitated the replacement in the first place, of course). I'm delighted—and relieved! I don't know how much money I just saved myself by not having to take the laptop down the street to the repair shop, but I definitely saved myself the time and stress of having to decide what day(s) would be best to give my computer for however long it would have taken them to do the fix. But with how fast and easy it was, I'd say this is a repair that's well worth doing yourself, for any price!

Easy fix for my broken charging port
The charging port on my Dell 5570 laptop stopped working. Tested the voltage coming out of the power supply and it was fine. Tried a different power supply on the laptop just to be sure, still didn't work. Checked battery health in the BIOS, and it was good. Only logical conclusion was that the charging port went bad. Ordered this, had it 2 days later. This part has all of the same markings, sticker, and part number as the OEM Dell port. Props to Dell for making this an easy replacement. I've had to solder in charging ports before... Here's what I did: Removed all the screws on the back cover of the laptop (if you have an optical drive, remove all visible screws on the back cover first, then pull out the optical drive - there are two very small screws underneath it that can only be seen once removed, and you can't remove the back cover until you take them out) Popped off the back cover, being careful not to drop/lose any of the tiny screws Identified the charging port. The cable was being obscured by the hinge for the screen. Removed the screws in the hinge, flipped it out of the way. Removed one screw to free the charging port. Unplugged the charging port cable from the board (no release tab or anything, it just slides out). Had to finagle the wire under the antenna for the wireless card and around the guides. Put the new one back in the same manner. Before I did anything else, I plugged the charger into the laptop before I put it all back together. Voilà! The LED lit up and it was charging. Nice. Replaced the rear cover, optical drive, and screws in the same order in which they came out. Easy peasy. Took maybe 10 minutes start to finish. Hopefully this one lasts.

Great replacement. Hasn’t broken yet
Ordered this for my laptop after two of the same model had stopped working in the same way as each other. This fixed the problem after I installed it. It is a little longer than the original, but it works fine and you don’t notice an extra 1/4 inch of wire in your laptop. Just make sure you install it correctly and don’t loose any screws.
