I received these today and couldn't wait to use. I compeled my first mandala works with these tools, I'm so excited. They are pretty good quality and good for mandala beginners like me. This set contains most mandala tools you need. The various stencils set up a basic of a mandala, I can creat my own art on the basic pattern. There are a variety sizes of dotting tools, you can make any size dots you want. And the dotting tools are smooth and easy to clean, only need a damp paper towel. Also you can use the painting pens to make streak. This set is not only used on rocks but canvas and clay. It is a awsome set, I recommend.

The painting tools are great but I have concerns about the chemicals/materials used in making the plastic supply bag used to store the tools. It absolutely smelled toxic! I immediately removed it from my house and threw it into my garbage afraid it was hazardous to my health to breathe the strong fumes emanating from it. I can imagine the factory that makes these can’t be healthy. I have the the paint tools that were inside the supply bag airing outside before bringing them back in the house.

I ordered seven of these kits for my students as part of a workshop. The price was very well worth what is included. These should be easy for them to handle regardless of experience level. For this I give 5 stars. I give one star for not being giftable or safe because of the horrific chemical smell. When I opened the plastic bag the odor hit me hard. There is no way I can keep the pouches that stores the kits. I had to actually wash the tools, palettes, and stencils in warn water and dish soap because they too stunk from being stored in the plastic pouch. Nice size storage pouch if only it didn't stink so terribly bad. I had to throw them in the outside trash. When I walked back in the house, I could still smell the chemicals in my kitchen. There is no way that this is safe. I can't even imagine what the environment is like for the workers being exposed to these chemicals all day. I have noticed that things I have ordered that's made in China reek of horrific chemicals more so lately, even clothes and toys. Something needs to be done about this as it appears to be the norm for China products. I actually got a headache and felt disconnected until I walked outside for fresh air. WARNING: Do not open this around small children or pets, and open outside.

Would be nice if they came with an illustration on how to use, or what the tips will do for you. Just the tools, no hint as to what or how to use. Probably OK for those who've done this before, but not for the ones who haven't. The tools themselves seem to be well made & I am pleased with the quality.

I took off a star because of the strong chemical smell. I could smell as soon as I opened the package, even with each item being in aseparate plastic bags. It was on everything, but I think it came from the zippered storage pouch that was included. I threw that pouch away and let everything else air out.

It has all it advertises but I wish the stencil had the basic ones to mark the concentric circles and multiple axis, instead of all these fancy ones. After I purchased this set I watched multiple videos on how to start doing and all experts used those two stencils. I wondered why they were not included in a set advertised for beginners. I had to order them separately. I also wish the paint brushes were of a better quality.

Overall this is a great get-started kit; it has pretty much everything you need. I gave it as a gift to my mom and she loved it! It would be helpful if it came with instructions though, especially for the 5 double-headed silicone embossed dotting styluses. The 10 black pieces of cardboard and tiny paint pallet are nice touches though.

Perfect set-up if you want to try your hand at Mandalas. Came fairly fast and was well worth the expense. I am eager to give it a try this weekend.
