600lbs Hand Winch with 16FT Strap, Heavy Duty Hand Crank Gear Winch Portable Manual Winch for Trailer, Boat or ATV

I got this for my jet ski trailer, and it was exactly what I needed. It fit well, works well and is a decent value if used within its limits. There is someone in the previous reviews who used it to wench a car onto a trailer and left a bad review because it didn't work, like bro come on it has a 600 Pound limit, cars weigh much more! Use the proper tools for the job, this would work well on a boat trailer.

I like the strap rather than chain or heavy wire cable. The strap is much easier to keep an eye on and see if it's twisting slightly or getting off track. Though it's technically not for 'lifting' I used it to lift a few 150 lb roofing items up several feet, which it did with ease once set up correctly.The negative is that it came with no nuts and bolts for attachment. Nor were there any real directions as to proper attachment procedure.

I mounted this winch on my tow dolly to help load my car which was broke down out of state! I hooked it up to my car and started to crank it. It didn't pull the car until the strap tightened up. I understand! I got it half way up and the small gear shaft moved and the gear kept skipping. I placed a wrench between the gear and the housing in order to hold it in place. Now the spool bent! I could not bend it back enough for it to work. The leaver that switches directions bent and I had to bend it back! Some of the gear teeth broke and it left me stranded. 3 and 1/2 hours later, 3 men helped me push the car the rest of the way on the dolly. I was able to drive home! I hit it while cranking and nothing worked! I intend on sending it back. They may or may not give me a refund but, it doesn't change the fact that the winch is junk!

Seems to be well made with easy installation . Only issue is no bolts or nuts comes with this device. No instruction either .

I purchased to replace on a used jetski trailer I purchased that had a jammed winch. Taking out of the box edges all around seemed kinda rigid and just expected the metal edges to be smooth the lock for winch is hard to release and set sometimes you really gotta push it to set it right. Also sometimes when unloading jetski while winch is in free float when pulling strap it has locked up on me for no reason.
