Ink Refill for Lexmark c3224
I bought this on a whim hoping to extend the life of my ink cartridge for my laser printer a Lexmark c3224. This product doesn't claim to work for my machine but I noticed another commenter did but didn't not share how they went about it. The nice thing about the toner cartridge in the Lexmark is that already has holes! So I didn't need to buy this kit with the soldering iron, I could have just purchased the toner. But the whole process was fairly simple! Im not sure how long I can get away doing this by refilling. There seems to be some mixed reviews that eventually you will have to replace the entire cartridge. But! for $40 bucks you really can't go wrong. I should note that this solution does not remedy the "low toner" message and to get rid of that you need to replace the chips on the sides of the cartridge. I may do that if its causing practical issues for printing but so far it isnt! Printed in color and black and everything is clear and smooth. No streakiness! So im very happy this saved me a lot of money (a couple hundred dollars). So if you are like me and have a Lexmark check your cartridges to see if they have remade holes!

Easy to refill on my cartridges. Doesn't print well though
Although I refilled the near empty cartridges with this product the printing stayed about the same. Very light printing but now the prints get random red and yellow blotches. Cartridges are one year old. May try new HP cartridges when empty to see if it was a toner or a cartridge issue.

Waste of money and time
Not only did it not work, but it also caused a mess inside the printer. Then the printer wouldn't even recognize the cartridges, so I'm buying new ones. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Saves money and works great.
I have been refilling my original cartriges for years and this toner worked great.Don't forget to burn a hole through your cartidge waste tank to empty it out or you will devlope color streaking over time.

STAB THROUGH THE FABRIC
So this is an amazing alternative to buying new cartridges, but can be messy... so pro tip if your cartridge has this fabric stuff.... STAB THROUGH IT.... the directions call it a small film... no not a film like the actual sac the ink is in.... also this is not an easy task and I found the burny thing wasnt enough to get through the fabric on my model.... small nails scissors worked thought. Still worth the work to not buy new HP toner as my printer wont accept off brand toner....

Second order…
Just wish it came with extra foil tape… otherwise great. (Didn’t need the heating iron that comes in the other package)

Poor quality toner, inaccurate instructions, missing parts. Not worth the effort.
This is a review of the toner + tools refill kit for HP 202x cartridges. While the cost is appealing, the product I received doesn't represent a good value considering the effort required and the resultant print quality.First, all 4 bottles of toner had different amounts of toner included. I could understand if they provided equal amount of the red, yellow, and cyan toners with a higher quantity of black toner, but that's not what happened here. each of the colored toners had different amounts; much more red than the cartridge would hold, not enough yellow to refill the cartridge, and the cyan was about right. The black was insufficient to refill the cart and was just about as much original toner as I recovered when dumping out the residual toner in each of the opened compartments in the cartridge.Second, the instructions were out of order and would result in wasted toner if you followed them. They tell you to burn a hole in the toner compartment, first, dump out the remaining HP toner, refill with theirs, and seal it up *BEFORE* opening the waste toner compartment and emptying it. If you do that, you'll lose toner you just put in the cartridge. You need to dump the waste compartment first, then refill the carts. Also, the small, styrofoam waste toner container was missing so I had to lay down some extra newspaper and carefully extract the waste/residual toner from each cart, which made a mess.A little tip here: make sure you have some isopropyl alcohol handy while you do this, it will clean up spilled toner. Use it to clean the areas around each of the holes you have to burn in the cart before you seal it with the included foil tape, otherwise it won't adhere well. Once all of the carts are done, take a clean, lint-free microfiber cloth dipped in alcohol and clean the blue rollers on each cart which will have some toner on them from when you shook the old toner out of the carts. Use your fingers to turn the white nylon gear on the side of the cart to spin the roller all the way around while you clean it.Finally, after investing a couple of hours to do the job right and ensure everything was clean, I reloaded my printer and ran it through the cleaning cycle. Then, I tested with a 12-page Word document that had colored graphs and illustrations. The resulting product had multicolored speckles on every page, the last just as bad as the first. As an IT guy with over 20 years of system administration experience, including a lot of printers, I can't recommend this product. As much as I *hate* HP and their attempts to corner the toner market, the cost savings of this kit simple does not justify the effort and the resultant poor print quality. A side note about HP: All of my genuine HP 202x cartridges were reported by the system as having extremely low toner quantity left, which is why I ordered the kit. The amount of toner I emptied from each cart's residual toner compartment was astounding. I mean, it was a LOT. I collected almost as much black toner as was provided in the refill kit. The color carts were similar, so the firmware is cheating you out of a good deal of your investment in authentic carts. There is a way to set the printer to keep printing even if the carts report low toner. I recommend you do that and keep printing until the quality starts to really fade. There are other refill kits out there, maybe they are better than this one.
