Overall very nice just don’t look in the cockpit
So I purchased this colonial viper on a whim mainly cause my sci-fi collection was lacking a viper. I bought from eaglemoss cause I had purchased some of their Star Trek ships a while back, I bought the NX-01 enterprise and the defiant. I think I got a 3rd one but everything is put away and I can’t dig it out right now. Anyway this thing is way bigger then the previous eaglemoss Star Trek collection but it costs twice as much so no shock. It’s large size makes detail very easy to pick up, and boy is it detailed. They didn’t miss a thing. No outside detail is forgotten here, even the weathering you would see on a front line fighter in active service. It’s painted right and mine was straight as an arrow which I expected for the price. The engines have detailed air intakes, the guns have cooling fins, nothing missed. But it’s not all perfect, mine was shockingly light which indicated extensive use of plastic, again just a criticism but for 60 bucks how about more metal, I have cheaper ww2 fighter replicas that have more metal then this. Obviously no landing gear ( but it probably wouldn’t work in this application). Then we get to the most glaringly weak part of this replica ( and a failing of the BSG line I’m told) a cockpit that’s virtually devoid of all detail. You see the upper part of the seat then it ends in a bland sea of grey plastic. I mean they couldn’t have considered a dark smoked canopy to conceal that detail? I mean it’s big enough that they didn’t need to put a lot of detail in there. I would have been happy with the basic outlines of an instrument panel to give the suggestion. But in my opinion there’s enough room that they could have done a lot more and for 60 bucks they should have. But that’s really the worst of it if you ask me. So long as you put it on a shelf or in the right position the lack of cockpit detailing will not have an effect on its look. I give it a 5 out of 5 for overall external appearance, and in all honesty the outside and the radio fins and other details serve to make up for the lack of cockpit detail. It’s a very good replica of a viper from a series that should have been made. My only other gripe is how about William Adams’s name on the side of what’s obviously “ his” MK-3 viper

Awesome Space Craft
I grew up watching the original 1970's Battlestar Galactica. This is a really nice representation of one type of Colonial Vipers. Good scale, great paint work. Love having this on my display shelf.

Awesome
Great level of detail, feels heavy and has a great paint job. I am very happy with this purchase it looks amazing sitting on my bookshelf next to my Viper MK II also made by the same company. Not a toy for children, more of a sweet kickass display model.
