Absolute Junk! I never even got to try the grinder because opening the thing was impossible. It comes assembled, so that all you have to do is lift the top off and insert the beans and grind away. But then good luck getting the grinds out! You have to unscrew the body from the grinds container, and that is impossible. There are no screw rings; it's just metal on metal and it's such a tight fit that it truly doesn't budge. Luckily, I didn't learn the hard way by grinding first, and then not being able to open it, because the item had such an awful metal and grease smell that I wanted to take it apart first and clean it since it probably hadn't been cleaned after it was assembled in China. Trying to twist and separate the pieces was truly impossible. I twisted and twisted and pulled and pulled. I used sil pats and jar openers, to no avail. After working with it, my hands were gray and smelled as bad as this device. Finally, I enlisted help from my husband (a 6'5" athlete) who was also not able to disengage the thing with his bare hands. He used a vice-like took to get it apart. Then we twisted it back and forth and put it back together to see if it had loosened up enough to be usable, but it wasn't. Neither of us could get it apart again with our hands. So, if I were to have kept it, I would have to use a vice grip tool every time I ground coffee in order to get it out. I looked at it carefully, wondering if ours had just been damaged, knowing that if it was out of round or dented at all, it would cause this trouble of the metal on metal not being able to twist open. But it looked totally fine. No damage anywhere. I ordered this one because it was $10.99 on Amazon and the nearest competing product was $23.99 and looked exactly the same! I wondered if it was the same product but branded differently. In this case, I got what I paid for. Paid less than half the price and got less than half the product. Pure junk. Washed all that metal stuff off my hands and sent it back!

I bought this on a whim (I really didn't even need it because I already owned a manual burr grinder.) The price point and reviews compelled me. After using one time it was so evident that it exceeded my previous grinder (Tanors Manual Ceramic Burr Coffee Grinder Mill, Includes Brush (Black)). The Tanors is a good grinder but this one is GREAT. Here is why:- The ceramic grinder and hardware that holds it in place is more stable (produces more consistent grounds)- Adjusting grind size is MUCH more simple- The beans are enclosed so they don't jump out or spray fragments- Easier to handle- No glass jar- comes with instructions- Almost half the costAs a bonus, the seller sent an insightful PDF on coffee; its history, uses, recipes, and fun facts.

I bought this to use not as a coffee grinder but to grind cat kibble to add a little more flavor to my cats' otherwise bland special diet canned food. It grinds the kibble to my complete satisfaction. Rather than buy a pricey 6 oz."boost" for cat food, I can buy a premium 5 lb. bag of cat kibble and it is much more cost effective using it as a "boost" by grinding it down.I have had this grinder only a week and using it this way has helped cut down on wasted uneaten cat food.

Grinds pretty well. Takes several minutes of hand grinding to do two scoops of beans at a fine grind. Would be good for a hiking trip, or anywhere there is no electricity. Price is right.

Overall great product. I use it mostly for grinding small amounts of coffee for a stovetop expresso pot. Takes a few minutes to get enough ground but the burrs and gears are working great. Easily adjustable for different grinds as well. I haven't cleaned it yet but it looks like it won't be too bad. Very simple, well designed grinder that works very well!
