I am using it along with a optical splitter for a toslink connection to add the ability to use headphones at the same time as a sound bar to a TV. It works extremely well, sound quality on the headphones is better than from the TV headphone socket. The remote control is very handy for adjusting the volume from your chair. It very nicely made with a quality feel. A usb lead is also included but not a charger so I am using a USB output on the TV for power.

I have a 54" Samsung smart TV but sadly it has no Bluetooth or headphone jack, so I bought an optical output device a few years ago during COVID and its worked a treat. It was almost perfect but the volume was manual and next to the TV. I recently got into my YouTube game walkthroughs, a couple of my favourite creators being Christopher Odd, Foster & Fisk and Eurogamer. I wanted to be able to adjust the volume. It was only when I realised there must be another version of my optical converter with a remote as I tried to find a soundbar but couldn't find a decent one that did what I wanted. After some searching I found this unit and for the money thought I would give it a go. It is perfect. The quality is solid, the power mini usb plugs into my TV and the jack output does exactly what I wanted, as I have full control of the volume. Very happy the sound quality is fantastic, I have long cable headphones.

Surprisingly for the price, the audio quality is really remarkable. The only cons is that the remote sensor on the device isn't so sensitive and you have to point the remote exactly on the sensor, and the volume settings don't seem gradual but in steps. Great little piece of equipment with a lot of functions and a volume remote control, at the right price.

This converter works perfectly for what we needed. Our setup has a smart TV with a digital audio connector (toslink) and philips speakers with an aux cable connected to the 3.5mm sound jack. It converts analog to digital without any noise issues or interference from the conversion (I.e sound is crisp and clear with no crackling or white noise). We can adjust the Philips speakers to the desired level, so 75% is really loud on most applications (YouTube, netflix) but quieter on other applications (xbox). We can then use the digital converter for a further 10 volume levels of this 75% of the speakers. Therefore there is actually a wide range of volume in our case, the Philips speakers initially and then the converter which further breaks that down by 10 levels. The remote is very responsive and the infrared picks up the button presses as expected. Another great feature is even when turning the digital converter off by the plug it still retains the volume level set before switching it off. Very grateful for this as I would probably forget the next day and scare myself half to death with the loudness of a video! All in all a great product that I'd definitely recommend.

Got it yesterday set it up today to my amp and it is since spot on, its easy to set up (depends on your amp & TV), the "actors lips" sync spot on with the volume speech, makes the sound appear & sound great so I'm happy but the neighbours aren't if its a music show or a Sci-Fi or won't be if it's late or loud as the quality is great.

So far so good. I recently went from a 32" Samsung TV+monitor (an excellent IPS panel) to a 43" 4K Samsung which also works well as a PC monitor, but naturally it has no headphone jack to use as a line out to my excellent stereo set up. This little box solves the problem, albeit with the addition of yet another (small) remote control to keep track of. I've read reviews mentioning the coarse volume increments - it has ten (10) which for my purposes is fine. I've also read criticism about the remote only working from short range and pointed directly at the sensor - well, it's IR so that mandates line-of-sight, but mine can be aimed at the opposite wall and ten feet away and it still sees it. I was expecting to have buy an entirely new audio set up, or at least an expensive pre-amp with a digital-in and remote control (there are plenty out there but most are a couple of hundred quid and up). I just hope it lasts, and given there are no high-current components in it and hence nothing running hot I'm optimistic.

I am not going to bad mouth this DAC converter and I did return this product because it did not amplify the volume for my wireless Headphone set up. I took a chance on buying this DAC device connecting it to my Samsung TV optical output and the only audio output on my TV and then from the DAC output via its Aux output to my wireless TV headphones Aux input, but the quiet volume remained exactly the same. From my setup of trying to increase the volume of the tv sound via the optical output of the TV via the PROZOR DAC but it made no difference. That is not to say this PROZOR DAC is not a good product it is simply the configuration did not work on my wireless headphone set up. Amazon were very good in replacing the cost of the product in the form of a gift card credit when I returned it. The build of the PROZOR DAC was of a hight standard and Connecting cables were included and setting it up was easy enough, I am sure when this PROZOR DAC device Bluetooth is used on some other TV optical outputs it will work fine but unfortunately not on mine.

Seems to be working, but the remote is a problem requiring line of sight. So locating the pack discreetly is an issue.

Convertitore necessario nel mio caso per riuscire ad utilizzare le casse Logitech z2300 con la tv Samsung UE55MU7000. Sono rimasto sorpreso dall'assenza sul Samsung connect di uscite audio jack che davo per scontate, invece è presente la sola uscita ottica che rende inutilizzabili tutti i vecchi impianti analogici. La cosa è ormai generalizzata su tutti i modelli di TV samsung. Altra sorpresa.... collegando le casse con un convertitore, non è possibile regolare l'audio con il telecomando della TV quindi si rende indispensabile un telecomando !! Il prodotto ha quindi risolto questi GRAVI problemi e mi ha permesso di collegare le casse alla TV e poterle utilizzare agevolmente. Nella confezione è presente tutto il necessario compreso il cavo ottico. NOTA NEGATIVA: il telecomando inizialmente non funzionava... dopo alcune immancabili imprecazioni ho provato a sostituire la batteria fornita con una CR2032 nuova che avevo in casa e da lì tutto ok... la batteria fornita era completamente scarica. Il funzionamento del prodotto è buono, collegato al Samsung connect si accende/spegne assieme alla TV. Se non si spegne il convertitore con il tasto off sul telecomando, poco dopo aver spento la TV si sente una scarica nelle casse dovuta allo spegnimento automatico, quindi sarebbe sempre meglio spegnere il convertitore assieme alla tele. Il telecomando prende bene ed ha le 4 funzioni necessarie (alzare, abbassare, on, off, mute, sorgente audio). Il prezzo pagato (18 euro) è conveniente, difficile trovare di meglio anche su aliexpress. Consigliato, anzi INDISPENSABILE per chi vuole collegare le casse alla tv con sola uscita digitale.

Super produit, compact avec de belle finition alu et délivrant un son de très bonne qualité. Je suis ravis de mon achat. Le contrôle à distance est très appréciable lorsque la sortit optique n'est pas indexé au son de la télé.
