Works as promised – great for DIY smart home stuff
I bought this relay switch to use with some custom smart home projects I’ve been working on. I’m not super technical, but I’ve been getting into home automation and wanted something that could work with Alexa and the Ewelink app. This little module does exactly what it says. It’s pretty small, which is good because I’m using it inside a project box. The setup wasn’t too bad — just connect your wires, download the app, and follow the steps. Took me a couple tries to get it connected to Wi-Fi, but once it was on the network, it worked like a charm. It supports both momentary and self-locking modes, which was important for my setup. I used it to control some lights through a button I built into the wall, and it works perfectly. You can also toggle it with voice commands via Alexa or set up routines in the app. I even tried an IFTTT recipe and that worked too! The build feels solid enough — not cheap plastic that cracks easily. And since it’s DC-powered, I can hook it up to a small battery pack or power supply depending on where I’m using it. Only thing to note: this isn’t plug-and-play if you’re not into DIY. If you don’t know how to wire a switch or aren’t comfortable with basic electronics, this might not be the product for you. But if you are, then it’s a really handy tool to have. For the price, I think it’s a great buy. No issues so far and it’s been running reliably.

Works as advertised
It was simple to put in a small plastic box that I had. I mounted it on the garage door controller bracket. After wiring this in to the garage door controller, I was able to close/open the garage door over the internet. The app interface was easy to use.

Great product.
This unit will easily control the garage door position so my outdoor cat can come and go when they want.

Easy Alexa Integration
I mounted this in a small project box to trigger a remote control for an automatic door opener. Now i can ask Alexa to open the door. Worked perfect and a great price too. Uses the eWeLink app, which is very user friendly.

Wasn't sure what to expect...
Didn't know how well this would work, especially given the price. Well, works perfectly. No issues. Afraid to update the firmware b/c it's already working so well. Had to search web for directions. If you're shopping for this, you probably have the DIY gene and can make it work.

Good switch
This was the first time that I had run one of these on anything but 5V DC. This time it is running flawlessly on 12V DC through the side connection ports. Very pleased.

Flaky and intermittent connectivity
Was a nightmare to set up. I followed the directions and nothing connected. Then I started to hit/hold buttons down to get random blinking cycles. After several attempts of trying the same thing over and over again, it decided to connect. I was able to set up the Alexa fine, however, you have to pay a subscription fee ($10 per year I believe) to get it to work on the IFTT app. Now my issue is that it keeps disconnecting from my network and I have been stuck with my garage door open and no one home. The other issue I'm having is that once you connect this device to your garage door, the regular wall button, keypad, and vehicle openers stop working and this becomes your only way of opening and closing your garage. I've tried connecting it to the garage motor itself and even replaced my wall-mounted button with this device and nothing worked. Also, the NO, COMM, and NC are NOT labeled on the device when you get it.
