Just position it on the outside of the windshield, and tuck the flaps into the two front car doors. They cover the entire windshield and wipers on my Toyota Corolla. Just pull off and shake to get rid of the snow. They seem durable, but I've used them for only one winter so far. I will try them this summer to keep sun off the windshield when parked.

I was very hesitant to purchase this product, but in my area the frost is such a pain. I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try.I can't be happier. I love it. I leave my house at 5:45 am and all of my neighbors cars have thick layers of ice on them. Even my rear window has ice on it. But my windshield is clear as can be. No more waiting for the defrost to heat up. No pouring cold water on my window. No scrapin. No getting rid of ice, but trying to get rid of a foggy window. No dangerous driving with a 5 inch clearing of no ice. I highly recommend this product. I have purchased this for my mom, wife, and mother in law.

The cover is of good quality, fit nicely on my 2017 Alltrack and did its job as far as keeping snow and ice off the windshield. However, there are two reasons why I'm returning the item and would not recommend, at least for other VW Alltrack\Golf owners, and both are a result of the anti-theft flaps.1. An enormous amount of water was able to run down the flaps and the inside of the doors and accumulate on the floorboards.Even if where you live isn't prone to winter storms that include actual rain, or if you're able to remove the cover before snow melt occurs, you're likely going to experience the second unfortunate outcome...2. Heavy condensation occurred on the rear view mirror and windows.

It could be a little wider for my 2006 Chevy Uplander, but it does the job. I wonder about it freezing down if the windshield has any moisture, but I haven't experienced that situation yet. It's easy and quick to put on and take off. I had it on on a very windy day and it stayed put.

Definitely works as intended. Just a note, this is not for a mini-van. I bought this for my daughter to use when her car is parked at school but she didn't want it. I have a mini-van and used it the other day, it just barely fit, but it was only a light snow and it kept my windshield clean.

This product does not work as described. I bought based on other reviews. But my experience was very different. I put on my car as a winter storm started. The cover would not sit right on the windshield and ended up catching snow and sleet and holding it to the windshield. The flaps held it securely, but they're not big enough, and allowed the top and bottom to flap in the wind, giving my windshield no protection. I'm returning for a refund. Did not work at all!

it works great if the wind isn't blowing. if the wind is blowing its a major battle to get the other side shut into the car because your are isn't long enough to get it to the other side of the car and it blows away

This is the perfect item to have for snowstorms! It fits great on my windshield, I am able to put it under my windshield wipers so they can go up and not freeze, and absolutely no snow gets through! I just wish that it was easier to install to get a tighter fit, as of right now I can only get it as tight as I can because there's no string or anything, just two end flaps that you have to shut your doors on. But other than that, no regrets here!
