Best bang for your multi-speed bicycle buck!
IMO, this is the best derailleur you can buy in this price range. It is kind of odd that over the decades bicycles have gone from 3 speed "English" bikes to 24 speed bikes. What people are noticing is when you have 24 different speed combinations and ratios, a lot of them are so close together that they more or less get duplicated, so you really don't have 24 "useable" speed combinations. So, it makes sense to a lot of folks that a single chainring turning a 10 speed wide ratio cassette is a better and simpler system, especially since you now only have one shifter to worry about, and the cassettes come with customizable cog ratios. 10 cog cassettes are usually a little longer than 5, 6, 7 and 8 cog cassettes, so it is important to have a sturdy and dependable derailleur.

Great replacement for the Sram RD-X9
Installation was not easy sent it to bike shop, they have the tools and knowledge. I crunched my RD-X9 on a rock. This was a great replacement for my 10 speed fat bike. I would recommend. I have only ridden it about 8 times but no shifting issues. Durability, they hang down asking to be knocked off but, reasonable priced replacement for the x9. Would recommend for the average bicycler for a replacement on a 9/10 speed, mine is 10 speed.

Cheap, functional derailleur with automatic clutch provides reliable shifting and reduces chain-drop
So far I've used it for a few rides and it has worked well, definitely better than my old-school (2011?) SRAM x0. I bought it because my current derailleur doesn't have a clutch and suffered from chain slap and frequent chain-drops on the downhill. This derailleur has significantly reduced the number of chain drops and made the downhill somewhat quieter. Installed the same as any typical derailleur. Shifts reliably. I think it's a really good value.

It's a good enough derailleur.
Replace a broken version of the same derailleur. It shifts OK, but not perfect all the time. I need to adjust the tension in the shift cable every so often and that usually fixes it. Once the chain is sufficiently worn, no adjustment seems to work. The price is great and the online Sram documents are sufficient for a good install. The black paint goes well with my orange bike, which seems to matter more than it should.

A quality derailleur
The SRAM 10 speed derailleur in a long cage was just what I needed for my custom build. Very easy to install and adjust, clean crisp shift between gears. Fit my bike like a glove, Very smooth and an overall great value for the money you just can’t beat it.

Works perfectly with my Rival shifters
Ordered this to use with my Rival shifters so I can use a bigger cassette for climbing. I was worried initially because of the bad reviews, but so far I haven't a single problem. Springs are good. No wobbly linkages. B tension screw and plate are working. Hi and Lo limit screws have no problems. Very easy to install and adjust. I am still waiting for my new cassette (11-36) and new chain, but I predict that there will be no problem adjusting the RD when I swap parts. Can't comment about durability yet, but so far the RD looks durable.

Quality Issues
I replaced an older X7 rear derailleur with this GX. I wish I would have purchased Shimano... The quality of this GX is not as good as my older X7. The anchor plate is very loose on the attaching bolt which caused the B-Screw to slip by it when adjusting the B-Screw. As this happened t he B-Screw was damaged, then damaged the derailleur when backing the B-Screw back out. Second, the spring tension in the derailleur is weak, causing shifting issues when shifting to the smaller cogs. If the B-Screw wasn't damaged I would return it, but instead I have a new derailleur that is worse than my old X7. So much for "Upgrading".

Great replacement
I was looking to replace the exact derailleur on my Catrike since during the process of converting it back to manual I ended up bending the cage because I didn’t realize the hanger was damaged. Worked great and now that it’s all aligned and tuned up she works great. I’m not a hardcore cyclist so this works great for my needs

Previously I had 2 XT derailleurs of the other make both of the same model. The first broke after 9 months (after applying clutch). The second lasted 4 months before wrapping up around the Cassette (again after using the clutch). So I decided to change to the SRAM. Well worth it! The change is smoother and there is clearly more tolerance in the mechanism. I thoroughly recommend fitting one of these derailleurs.

Good product but took me a while to tune it. Had to go online and find the Manual for it
