UBS Vitamin C Cartridge 5 Pc in 1 Pack for Vita-fresh Shower Filter, 8.82 Ounce

I’m 35 year old male and people always think I am a recent college grad, 10 years younger. My recent drivers license picture looks identical to the one I took in 2014. People ask me how, I always mention this product and Dr. Bronner’s organic soap. I put nothing else on my body except shampoo and conditioner, and have for over 10 years.Chlorine in water is very bad for you. It’s bad for your skin, your hair, and your lungs and heart and body as a whole. This is the real deal. It will filter much more chlorine than a standard activated carbon filter (think Brita but for your shower head), and will filter chloramines and other chlorinated compounds better, whereas activated carbon may not filter those at all.

If you have chlorine/chloramine in your water, this will make showering less painful. It doesn't filter 100% of the chlorine/chloramine, but it definitely helps.

They work great. Much cheaper than my sonaki replacement ones but it’s the same thing. Def buy

I was having the problem of feeling light-headed after taking hot showers so I decided to try and filter out the nasty chloramine my city puts in the water. Yes, this thing is made of plastic and isn't the strongest build quality, and yes you'll have to replace the filter every 2-4 weeks, but if you want to stop exposing yourself to toxic chloramine (which is at its worst when you inhale the hot steam in your shower) then this filter is a MUST. Buy it. Install it carefully. And you will not regret it!I also recommend doing as other reviewers have suggested and install a Captain Eco 5 Stage Shower Filter before the vitamin C filter. This two step setup is a little clunky and you might have to also install a shower arm extension, but your body will thank you for the extra effort.On a side note: my girlfriend immediately noticed that her hair and skin felt and looked better than it ever has and now always uses my shower instead of hers.

2 weeks into using the first one of these cartridges it was evident that they are fragrance free... as my wife pointed it out. I took the cartridge out of the shower head handle and tried to pop off the top but realized it was glued on at the seam. No problem, used a sharp knife to go in the groove all around, about 1 mm deep and the top separated. Then it popped off. (I did the same on an unused cartridge and it looked like pure white ascorbic acid powder inside) I added about 20 drops of orange essential oil and mixed it with a straw, water and all. Now it smells great in the shower again. And all 5 cartridges are now refillable 🤓 For fragrance d-limonene works even better, mix 1:1 with polysorbate 20. Chemistry is cool.

Wish it was a bit cheaper considering I have to use these for a nickel allergy, but so far this has been my savior. No more tearing skin, it makes me feel so much better after showering, but it's not perfect.The material the piece you place it inside is pretty cheap and the first one I got broke easily. So I had to get a replacement, but it's worth it as long as you are very careful with it.

Didn’t see the purpose or benefit.Definitely won’t purchase again.

it screws into the shower head easily and has to be replaced roughly once a month, depending on use. water in the shower is clean of chlorine and feels better on the skin and hair
