Don't buy Scam!!!!The rower its about 6 months old and it is following apart.I called Amazon and they cannot help. Gave me information to contact manufacturer in South Africa!!!!!!Stay away !

I figured this clearly reverse-engineered version of the Concept 2 would do ok for winter workouts. Boy was I wrong!Let’s start with the unboxing. There were screws scattered all over the bottom of the box. And the directions reference a hardware kit that wasn’t there. So I almost exchanged it until I read other reviews mentioning the screws were on the rower and the hardware kit wasn’t there.Second, it’s much heavier than the concept 2, probably because the lightweight materials are more expensive...And finally, the LCD screen is garbage. You can hardly see it as you’re rowing. Having used a C2 for years, I can tell it counts the meters too slow, so you’re in for some extra time if you do a distance row...

Received our rower today. I can’t give it 5 stars yet because we’ve only had it one day. Here’s what o like so far:-packaging - not damaged upon opening, well packaged, all items needed in the box-quality - machine seems sturdy, the feet straps, feel of the rowing motion, glide of the seat, resistance options - all very similar to concept2, which I’ve used at the gym and really likeCouple things that could be improved:-instructions - the tower came almost completely assembled, which is great. The instructions had steps that were not necessary or were outdated for this model. Example - the piece that makes the two pieces lock together has changed. The locking mechanism is now attached to one piece of the rower, but the instructions referenced a separate piece that had to attached. The updated model is actually better, but I had to look for a while to make sure I wasn’t missing a piece based on what the instructions said.-battery cover - this is minor, but there is a piece that attaches the battery cover to the unit and it’s this long screw - going to be a pain whenever I have to change the batteries for the display monitor. Falls off the back if not screwed on

The machine arrived on the scheduled date. Upon opening the shipping container several screws fell out. The machine appears to be modeled after the Concept 2 Rowing machine that I haved used at my local gym. After reading the user manual I concluded that the machine that I received was a slight modification of the machine described in the manual (there was no connecting flywheel for the two sections per the user manual). After further examination I concluded that all required screws had been pre inserted in their location but with no washers as indicated in the user manual. After initial assembly and half hour test row, I am at this time happy with the rowers operation.

It's was a good rower. Never figured out the monitor. The seat didn't roll smoothly. Concept 2 is the best. This is a cheap knock off but will get the job done. Little more springy feeling.

Just got it and rowed. Son in law put it together in less than 30 minutes. It would have been a shorter time but we wasted time looking for a parts bag that didn’t exist. Good thing I read previous reviews where people indicated the screws needed were already on the rower. Just remove and install where they belong. THIS IS GREAT TO KNOW. Very compatible to my Gym Concepts Rower. Thank you Amazon! I was amazed this was in stock. Just simply amazed. Arrived a day earlier than promised too. Thanks again!

Broken box, smashed battery, missing foot.Either bad packaging or mishandled in shipping, or bothUpdate:I found the missing foot stuck in the packing material, my bad.But the most disturbing quality issue I saw as that a 1 1/2 in drywall screw was used to attach the battery cover.

Thankfully this purchase has already begun to pay off. Let me start by saying this machine is excellently crafted. The quality is readily apparent straight out of the box. The amazingly simple assembly takes only minutes & you're already up and rowing within 30 minutes, or at least in my case I was. It worth every penny !
