I've been adding a bunch of new records to my collection, and while generally I've been happy with the records themselves, a lot of them are sadly very poorly packaged. Torn, wrinkled sleeves. Gatefolds which don't fit the sleeves well, etc. etc.No such issues here! This release of Live After Death is beautifully packaged, with a solid gatefold, strong sleeves, and everything covered in colorful artwork and tour photographs.The records themselves were clean, lie flat, and sound great with crisp reproduction of all the instruments and vocals. Scream for me Long Beach!

Live After Death was my first experience with Iron Maiden. I bought the cassette, dropped it into my Walkman, and the instant I heard the rumble of the Spitfires and Churchill's Speech, I was hooked. I've been a huge Maiden fan ever since. Eventually the cassette wore out and I moved to CDs.Recently I moved to a new house with a spacious basement. After finding some of my old vinyl records in a box, including two other Maiden albums, I decided to frame them and display them in the basement. It was then that I realized I needed my first Maiden album to be a part of the display. I purchased a copy of the album for a reasonable price. Amazon shipped it a month earlier than expected. I can't wait to add Live After Death to the wall and show it off to my son, who's also a big Maiden fan, and my other relatives during the holidays.UP THE IRONS!

Iron Maiden's Live After Death is considered one of the best metal live albums of all time and there are many reviews of the album itself so I won't go into that too much other than it is a must have if you are even a casual Iron Maiden fan. On to the vinyl review...Wow...I could not be happier. First, album arrived a month earlier than Amazon originally told me so that was a nice surprise. The album itself arrived undamaged and in perfect condition. It is absolutely gorgeous and the pressing is outstanding. Very quiet, clean and no scuffs. As mentioned in other reviews it is a bit quiet volume wise but nothing a little increase can't fix! If you have Live After Death on CD or maybe your original copy is worn and you're asking yourself, do I really want this for my collection? Yes, you do. Worth every penny and I'm very glad to have it. Thanks Amazon!

So magnificant album

Seeing all of the complaints about quality control made me open up all of the singles and albums from the first two batches of releases. Sure enough, out of 12 singles, 11 had multiple dimples and ripples, and two had scratches to boot. Only Purgatory was flawless. The 6 albums are flawless - but there is no way the last two albums are going to fit. I'm in the US but had to order the European version of the box as Amazon US screwed me over. I ordered the day the release was announced and waited patiently and the day of release Amazon suddenly didn't have a release date. So, I panicked and ordered form Amazon UK. I watched DHL's tracking as they tried to deliver my order several times in Germany.. lol. Finally after 21 days it showed up in a completely smashed and destroyed shipping box. I was devastated. But upon opening the box set was amazingly unscathed - even though it only had a measly strip of packing paper thrown in with it. So I load the first six releases up and they barely fit... Now I see the US version will actually house all 8. So, do I send this set back to Amazon UK and take a chance with the US version? Or will Maiden step up and make this right?

Fist vinyl I ever bought and still the best live album I ever have heard to date .I just got this reissue and it’s great and at a great price enjoy .

This was the first Live album i had ever heard back in 1985 and it still holds up today as one of the greatest live albums ever made. The entire band is in top form and in the prime of life and it is packaged wonderfully. The artwork of Derek Riggs fits this album (and all maiden albums) perfectly. The album sounds as good on this vinyl pressing as it did on the original vinyl my brother brought home in '85. Having this in your collection is a must for any Maiden fan.

Brought this having owned it on cassette many years ago, recently got back into vinyl records which I love so just had to have this, and it’s as brilliant as I remembered.
