It cuts pills in half just fine, although it does leave a little bit of powder behind. I'm sure someday the blade will get dull and it will become garbage. But for now it's doing what I need it to do.

it works. it seems the pills i get are smaller and smaller. other cutters i have tried always crumble at least half the pill. this pill cutter works perfectly every time.

I need to find a pill splitter that will cut round, coated pills. This was slightly better than a few others I've tried but not much. Still end up with an uneven cut or half a pill & powder.

Inexpensive,but doesn’t cut

For me, it did not split pills cleanly compared to other products

Needed to take 1 plus 1/2 pills and they do not have an indentation. Was using a sharp knife and a friend said get a pill cutter - it's so much easier. It is very easy to use and this will do the job, but this is not the best one. This pill cutter has a slightly curved base so it never sits still - not sure why they have done this. Also the lid does not clip shut which means that although there is storage for the unused 1/2 pill it just falls out, particularly if you are travelling.My recommendation is the Boots standard pill cutter which has a flat bottom and a clip button lid fastener, and is brilliant for travelling. It is also the same price and you can get it at any Boots chemist.

Bearing in mind a lot of people will get this specifically because they need to cut tiny pills (which are harder to do by hand), the accuracy of the cut is quite important. Many of mine turn out somewhat moon-shaped, or about 35-65 in proportion no matter how carefully I place each pill. Still, better than by hand or with a knife I guess.

It works superbly - we've had pill cutters before years ago and were off-put for life! THIS pill cutter and box has changed all of that, sincerely, as it perfectly splits my medications and no wobbly edges that expose your mouth to the horrid taste of the tablet's inside - thank you so much :-) :-)

Fab little pill cutter. I cannot swallow the bullet shaped pills and this cuts them easily. There is a little compartment at the front which,if you tip it forward before you open it,collects any smaller pieces and powder this can then be tipped into your mouth instead of your hand. Good sharp blade and easy to rinse under the tap.

When I got the pill cutter and tried it it split the pill, but one half was always bigger than the other. I experimented and found if I placed the pill in the correct place and leaned the cutter back slightly, so the pill stayed put and slowly closed the blade it cut it perfectly. Job done, it works perfectly every time 😀
