Confirmed the operating temperatures of the Aga ovens during a temperamental period - very useful.

I bought the Taylor oven thermometer to check the accuracy of my oven because I’ve replaced the oven element recently and believed the new element wasn’t up to the job. The Taylor thermometer showed that my oven was definitely under performing by as much as 40 degrees.Another new element has now been fitted and the oven is much better with regard to performance. And the Taylor thermometer proved its worth.There is however a small problem with this thermometer in that the dial is a pale grey colour and is not easy to read without a good torch. Also. after only a few uses the dial has gone even paler in colour though the accuracy remains the same. I can recommend the thermometer as an accurate tool but I would like it even more if the dial was more durable.I like to leave mine inside the oven all the time so discolouration shows that it is deteriorating which is why I have not given it a full 5star rating.

Thought my oven was about to malfunction just before Christmas. So I bought this to check the oven's performance. It is definitely accurate. My only criticism is that it is a little difficult to read with the grey scale. However it is separated into two temperature sections with red from from 180 degrees centigrade upward. It also responds rapidly and accurately to temperature changes. To keep the dial clean we have not exposed it to excess fat and removed it during roasting once we were satisfied with the temperature. Chose this because it does not use a battery. It's given peace of mind! Would definitely recommend.

I bought this to replace an old one which I suspected wasn’t working 100% any more. However, they corroborate each other exactly so we can be sure they measure the temperature accurately

We were convinced that there was a problem with our new gas cooker following baking and roasting failures. Using this item it became clear that the oven would not reach the temperature needed or corresponding to the dial setting. We used it with known accurate temps as a bench mark. As a result we will be contacting the cooker company.

I like the size, easy to readCentigrade is on outside of dial. Much better to read. So many others Centigrade is on inner scale.Don't like. Size! Hanging on main shelf it catches on a lower shelf so can be knocked off when removing stuff. However, it has an odd curved base/stand. Don't understand it. Can't stand on a shelf. So, I'm just going to cut that off.Can hang on side to side or front to back bars of wired shelf

Wanted to check our electric oven as suspected it wasn’t controlling to temp so brought this. Superb piece of kit and is versatile for any oven.Can be hung on the trays or free standing, it certainly helped us to understand what our problem was in the oven. Now our oven is all up and running properly but have left this temp gauge in as it takes up so little room and a handy quick view to make sure the right temps are being achieved.

I'm sure it's accurate, but having a grey dial face in a dingy lit oven and it's impossible to read without a torch! A basic school boy error and should be a white dial every time! Not fit for purpose.

Na een paar keer gebruik wordt deze Kitchencraft meter door de hitte van de oven zo donker, dat hij niet meer is af te lezen. Dus onbruikbaar ! Terugsturen is teveel gedoe voor dit bedrag, dus voorkom teleurstelling door een andere thermometer te kiezen. Zelf heb ik ook nog een Hendi oventhermometer gekocht. Deze bevalt tot nu toe prima !

Buongiorno,mi occorreva un termometro per il mio forno gas nuovo, sprovvisto del display temperatura.Ho letto la storia di Taylor e mi sono subito convinto.Tutto come da descrizione sito AMAZON.display grande, temperatura segnata in modo ottimale anche con zone rosse colorate (scongelamento,cottura ecc) che fanno immediatamente individuare visivamente i gradi. Possibilità di appoggiarlo/appendere nel forno in vari modi. Costruzione solida e precisa. Termometro che mi ha permesso di verificare l'esattezza dei gradi segnati sulla manopola del forno. Se si ha un vetro fumè, si deve trovare la giusta angolazione per leggerlo bene ma è un falso problema in quanto ci sono le zone colorate. Un ottimo prodotto anche perchè è la temperatura che dobbiamo controllare es. quanto ci mette il forno a riscaldarsi? questo articolo lo dice con precisione: il mio forno impiega un 10 minuti per raggiungere i 240 gradi : per il costo, è da comprare e lasciarlo nel forno. Seguite le istruzioni del produttore. grazie
