Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. Book & DVD Set

What can I say... An old bazaar fave ... Kubrick tried to solve the criminal element through rehabilitation... Funny, entertaining.. What really makes this package is the book that describes making the movie. It is full of old pics and great write ups. I'm very happy I purchased it.

This was a nice set with the DVD as well as the booklet and poster. I bought it for a friend who is a fan of the movie and she was pleased as well. I watched it with her for the first time and everything worked well with the picture quality of the DVD. The whole package was worth the price for anyone who is a fan of the movie or anyone wanting to see this classic for the first time.

I first saw this film when I was 18 and it was a shocker at the time. Still is, but one of the greatest Kubrick films ever made. Not for the weak hearted by any stretch, but loved the book that came with it and no, my husband won't be watching this. It's violent and horrific and I have worked in film and TV my entire life. Just a brilliant piece of movie making from way back based on true events. Makes you think.

Nice collection, fun and a good price.

It’s pretty big but it was worth getting

The size is to big to hold and read. Nothing would have been lost if it was shrunk down to fit the dvd (...like a dvd case perhaps?) The photos are either movie stills or behind the scenes pix. I get that Tashen is all about high-end coffee table artbooks, but these photos aren't anything special, quality-wise. Taking stills from a movie and laying them out as objects fails because they're essentially out of context and therefore unnecessary...Especially if you've obsessed over watching the film multiple times, so "nothing new" there. The format should be smaller with more written articles and more smaller sized, behind the scenes photos (where the quality and size is really immaterial.) More facts and trivia would kinda lighten up the mood too.I would argue that the production notes and scripts etc. would benefit a more "behind the scenes" book. Here with actual movie stills seems excessive and plain. The enlarged, scattered quotes from the articles therein were very trite. Oh yeah, the poster's crap too!
