Fits perfectly.
I got this for my Siemens breaker box. This is for a horizontal main shut off and a 1 1/4" gap between the main shut off and the breakers below. You will need to free up two breaker spots in the upper left of your box. Yes, it's expensive for what it actually is, but they all are. It comes with clear, easy instructions, and was a snap to install (a little time consuming moving the breakers all down to make room). It came with a drill bit, zip ties and warning stickers.

Great product
This is a great product. It fit exactly. The instructions were clear and well written. The kit includes everything you need short of a 220V breaker. I installed this and wired the fuse panel to a generator plug on the side of the house. Shortly after finishing, hurricane Irma swept through. The people whose house I wired were thrilled. I printed instructions on how to use the interlock and the fuse panel and how to hook up the generator. They used the setup for a solid week. They had no problems using the interlock. It protected them and the utility workers during power repairs. I highly recommend this product. This is easily the least expensive way to safely connect a generator to your house.

Solid Product
Works as described and is a better alternative to a transfer panel because it gives you access to all of the circuits in your panel. Of course you will be limited to 50 amps and the power output capabilities of your generator but you can pick and choose which circuits to run instead of being isolated to only the ones on your transfer panel. Works great and keeps the lineman safe during an outage repair. It also came with the drill bit needed and some thread lock for the bolts.

Fit Correctly and Does the Job
I purchased this interlock to install a breaker for a generator connection. Package came with the interlock pieces, stickers, zip ties, thread locker and a set of basic instructions. The packaging stated there was supposed to be a drill bit, but there was none. The instructions are OK, but there was no template for where to drill the holes. I had to disassemble the interlock pieces and place the back plate on the panel to find the best fit. I took my time and used a sharpie to mark the places I needed to drill holes. You will need a de-burring tool after you drill the holes, but you can find them on Amazon or your local big box hardware store. The stickers that come in the package are great. A set of warning stickers and a sticker for proper generator powering order. I couldn't use the zip ties because there is not enough room between breakers in our older panel. The thread locker took a few hours to set and you have to jiggle the interlock pieces during that time to make sure they don't get stuck together and they can move freely. Overall, I give this a 4/5. The instructions could have been more clear and the missing drill bit, while I didn't need it, could be needed by someone in the future. That's a QC issue that should have never happened. I gave the "value for the money" category 3/5 because this stuff isn't hard to get or complicated at all. Its cut pieces of aluminum with basic hardware. This is a $10-$15 kit all day long, but since its "MET Certified", they can charge more. It will do what you need, just take your time.

Little pricey but good product that works and fits well
Worked and fit perfectly to isolate generator circuits from main feed without expense of automatic switch. Is fool-proof but a little expensive for what it is; still does the job well!

So easy, and less expensive than a transfer switch
I'm pretty handy, but I have no formal training in anything construction or electrical, yet I was able to install this kit without issue. I now have the ability to run any and all of my circuits from my generator, and can pick and choose on the fly, unlike with an expensive Interlock, I'd have to pick the circuits ahead of time, and could not make changes without it being an expensive fix. It was so nice to have heat and water from my well when we lost power!

Significantly Overpriced!
This item is the only one that works with my particular electrical panel, and they surely charge what they want for it. If you buy one, I'm certain that when you get this little kit, you'll agree about the price gouging. There's not much to it. However, it gets the job done.

Siemens interlock switch
I used this safety device along with an external inlet box and a dedicated circuit breaker to hook up my generator and back feed power to the whole house. Much simpler than a transfer switch and a lot easier to install. Switch, circuit breaker, outlet box and 10 gauge wire for my short run was about 150 dollars. Still have to go out and manually fire up the generator, turn off the main ect but it saved 7 to 10k on a whole house system.
