Note Reading Made Fun (Piano Made Fun for the Young)

I have taught piano for 42 years , this little book is so much fun and such a great way for my kids to learn their notes !I supplement my normal beginner book with this one !

As a piano teacher, I’m always looking for books that help students read notes AND have fun. My young (kindergarten- grade 2) students enjoy this one and I believe it gets them over the hump of learning beginning notes on both staffs. I combine its use with method, theory, Notespeller, and performance books simultaneously.

Our Daughter started the Piano Made Fun series when she was 3 years old. She breezed through the Pre Reading Made Fun and is now on to this Note Reading Made Fun. We have all the books and they are great at keeping a young child's attention and making the piano FUN! She is also working through the Theory Made Fun and Notes Made Fun. She attends a 30 min private lesson once per week with her piano teacher and just loves it! We divide her at home practice time into 3 short(10 min) times a day. She just had her first recital...so fun!

Our son's piano teacher recommended this book as one of the best first lesson books available - fun, engaging, simple, and with many pages to grow into. My son enjoys the cute pictures and is practicing often.

These books are perfect for the beginning(child)piano student. They have cute names and words with the songs that appeal to a child. They go in a sequence that makes sense and teach the student how to read! It goes slow enough to be fun and rewarding.

My daughter's piano teacher had us start with this book. My daughter is 4 and has been doing so well and learning so much from this book. Definitely would recommend!

This is a great book for young beginners. The CD keeps them motivated to practice and teaches them timing.

This is a wonderful series of books. I have been teaching with this series for many years (from the time they first came out). All my students, who especially like to sing along, love it. I like the middle C approach and a very good number of songs to work out one new note. Works great with students 4-5 years of age. I highly recommend this series.
