I have another netgear extender and the setup process was the same for this and was very straightforward. It was purchased to place near the front door for my Ring doorbell to connect to, so obviously needed to extend the wifi signal through the brick wall it was plugged into. It had a good connection to my router, which is on the upstairs landing, the extender was plugged in not far from the bottom of the stairs. The connection to the ring doorbell was variable, the connection quality light on the extender (from extender to device) switched from amber (OK) to green (good) fairly regularly. With the ring doorbell saying it had a OK connection.I still have this extender but am now using the Netgear EX6130, which is more expensive, although it was on a 1 day only deal when i purchased.

Needed a WiFi booster for the front security cameras as our router is in the rear living room, so took a punt on this.Out of the box it is a simple plug n play device, firstly plug in same room as router, get a connection via syncing. Once done, move to desired location, plug in and it should connect. Viola, you now have a stringer signal in the vicinity of the booster.It is the size of a large plug, it is quite wide and had fold up aerials. It will fit most multiplug adapters without hassle.I am not sure if this will cover 600ft or 10 devices upto 300mps as claimed, it has improved signal in downstairs WC and cameras are not cutting out. Even though signal on both cameras don't seem to have gone up, but obviously they have.For the price, and from a reputable brand, I'd fully recommend.

Ordered as couldn't get firestick to connect to WiFi in son's bedroom. Only problem was that it didn't work on wps but was easy to set up following the installation instructions and then moved it to bedroom. Plugged in and let it sort itself out and then tried the firestick and it was showing excellent signal and firestick connected quickly and streaming is rapid.Added bonus was that it wasn't due to be delivered until following week but received email saying it would be arriving next day. Cannot fault this product best £20 I have spent for a while..

When set up it boosted the signal in my bedroom and was actually better than in my lounge where modem is !

For the non-WPS set up method, my unit didn't produce the "NETGEAR_EXT" access point, but the access point name of whoever had the unit before me and had returned it :( Had to factory reset it using the pin hole on the back.Later, on in the install process I was connected to the extended access point but couldn't access the 'mywifiext.net' address to configure the device. Switched from Firefox and Vivaldi to IE11 and then I could access the settings :/All working fine now. Bought to replace a TP-LINK AV600 powerline (DHCP problems).

had some areas within the upstairs that had unsuable signal strength. fitted this in the hall and then setup via the web page. worked prefectly as a extender. took about 5 minutes to setup. longest step was registering with netgearrecommeded item.note on setupgive it a EXT at end of name to ensure you no which networkit usues the same channel as the main routeronce setup i put it on auto connect so the wifi item linking will connect to the strongest link within the house

I work in IT, and I would be very tech savvy. However this took a long time for me to connect to he device. The WPS features would not work, and I had to then connect manually via the web browser.If you are not tech savvy, I would look for another device.However as it's up and running, it works a treat.

Couldn't be much easier to set up - the instructions are very clear, and its literally plug and play and pressing a button on your router. The wifi signal has improved massively - I can now browse the Internet and stream music all the way to the end of the garden, which is exactly my reason for buying. I was hesitant about using amazon renewed but the actual device looks good as new and there was just one small mark on the box, so I'm very happy with my purchase :)
