The adherent holds up very well to foam board so far. Easy to apply from the roll. Did not stick to itself while pulling from the roll. Time will tell if it remains adhered to the surfaces. I will update my review after its been on the surfaces for several months

Really good sticky tape

Works great for vapor barrier repair.

The 3M Construction Seaming Tape 8087 we purchased works great for seaming, edge-taping, and electrical box-trimming Certainteed Membrain Smart Vapor Barrier, but it is a pain to work with. The tape has a marked tendency to split length-wise when being stripped off the roll, and once it splits like this, you have to slowly and meticulously work the split tape off the roll until you get an unsplit piece of tape again, cut the split end off, and resume actual useful work (as opposed to playing with the split end). I like the final result of taping with this product, but it shouldn't get "split ends" the way that it does. Update: Raised the rating from 3 stars to 4 because.. I trained myself to fold-over the tape coming off the roll onto itself to make a little "tab" I can use to get the tape off the roll and reduce the number of "split the long-way" issues (as well as making it easier to find the end of the tape!). I have used this tape for all of the vapor retarder in the house we gutted, as well as a few of the Typar seams when I ran out of Typar tape. The 3M tape seems to have "changed" over the course of the project, because rolls purchased after the first couple seem to have a lot less tendency to split or tear when it wasn't desired, even accounting for the learning curve.

Super sticky, very strong. Worth every penny.

I used this to seam seal an attic space that I had insulated using the pink foam board. This tape is fantastic and easy to work with. It is forgiving and easily stuck to the board. I am very glad I opted for this instead of the tape I found at Menards.

I got this Tamp after talking with 3m about what I could use on XPS pink foam in a RV insulation application. I needed something lovio see that could stick to multiple surfaces and handle extremely high temperatures and a bit of abuse They said that this should do it. I didn't notice any smell. It is extremely sticky and sticks very well to itself and most everything else and is very difficult to remove. The first thing I used it on was repairing a hole in a subwoofer in my truck. I ended up putting a bunch of pieces together to fix the hole in the subwoofer and cranked it up to 15 and it did not let a single breath of air out or even a pinhole. I have been blasting the subwoofer for a while now and it has not budged. It's basically just booming all day long and sounds just as good as the quarter inch thick plastic the bazooka tube is made of

Worked great for the vapor bearer on the concrete to pass inspection on my job.
